I remember that HH was a chance for the left over to create a new community, people who would have never met homeless/cop's son just recreate a social bound. That's what HH was about, way over music, it was a way of living. I remember when taging in Paris, long time ago, that old lady asking us: why do you do that, so we told her and she said, you know I have worked all my life and now I have shi-te as money and not even my kids will come to visit me, just burn the place down.
I always have that thrill when thinking of her and as well, when hearing that sentence: I make music for my people

some of the few real rappers of today include: eminem, bizzy bone, krayzie bone and layzie bone (although krayzie and layzie's music is more mainstream these days, hate to say it), g-unit (as much as you hate them, they are real rappers) and that is about it.
