Yes, that game was certainly memorable. Kramnik is now facing a difficult task to prepare for the candidates tournament, as he mentioned in an interview after the tournament, he has serious problems with his openings. He was lucky to get away with draws against Short and Tiviakov.
Draws and losses only... A less than stellar performance from Nigel Short in this years
corus. Wonder if it'll hurt any of his sales...

I consider Short lucky to have been in a position where he had chances against
Kramnik. But the game in question, certainly could have been finished if Carlsen
or Anand was in the drivers seat.
Short was outclassed throughout the tournament (so I felt when watching his games)
and as you said, utilized many tricks and some tenacious defense, to come out even
in most matches.
Overall a bad tournament for Short I think.
