Let me just say I been playing these positions for a week or two now, and I've gotten a lot out of the experience already. It's sort of a problem/play combo. It can be frustrating at times, but if you really work at it with someone of Petrovitch's knowledge and skill I don't see how it couldn't help your game.
We have the software updated and can now handle more students. If you would like to join, please send a message to me or thgibbs requesting to be add to our list of subscribers. We have thousands of problem to solve from famous positions, famous books, and famous games. Here you will play these positions with higher rated players. Ask questions and we will try to answer.
Here's a problem that Bobby Fischer couldn't solve. Game 4530227 Pal Benko created it and challenged Fischer to solve it in 30 minutes. The problem is to mate in three moves. After disappointment Fischer challenged Benko to a second bet; he bet that he could find a "cook" by morning (that is another solution meeting the challenge mate in three). In the morning, he had to admit defeat again.
This is an example of the type of problems we are solving in our exercises. Our home page is www.personalchesstraing.com We work through one problem at a time with each student. All games are created on RHP and are unrated. We have already brought several members over to RHP from other sites for the sole purpose of working through these problems with us. We hope to have teachers from other countries soon. At present we are working from the United States. More teachers would solve some of our problems with time zone differences. This would speed things up a lot.
Best wishes, and good luck solving this problems and many others!!
