Edit: i was thinking of starting with a fianchetto
Nf3 or g3 are played quite a lot.

41.1%? that sounds really bad, thats the lowest ive seen.
Higher isn't better. The number just shows with which colour you do better. 50% would mean it's perfectly balanced; if it's higher, it means you are better with white; if it's lower, you are better with black.

(WW+WD/2)/WT = WC
(BW+BD/2)/BT = BC
WC / (WC+BC) = ANSWER

(380+84/2)/789 = 0.53485 = WC
(351+89/2)/783 = 0.50511 = BC
0.53485 / (0.53485+0.50511) = ANSWER = 0.5143

My Bird game continues to soar!

50.79 but increasing - as I'm getting better I'm winning more as white and fewer as black, probably because the quality of my opponents is higher.

44.6 on RHP.

In the beginning of my play here, I preferred black because trying to find the best response to white's moves generally put me in a pretty decent position. As white, when forced to carry out an attack, I played pretty disastrously. Now as I learn more chess theory and since I've started to use databases my play as white has improved, and my score is rising.

When this thread was started it was 50.4%, it went down to 50.1% and now it's at 50.8% - so really not that much change.

Either I'm getting better as white or worse as black.😕

51.16%

Fairly close to the expected norm of 54%. Lost 27 white games from 268 and 24 black games from 208 (so 31 losses expected from 268 black games). Draws from each identical at 42.

There are some black openings that I enjoy and get good results from whilst a couple of white openings that I should improve. I think I need to convert some of those white draws to wins.

I can't find the data. 🙁

It's been awhile for me
WS = (491+74/2)/863 = 528/863 ~ .6118
BS = (484+87/2)/887 = 527.5/887 ~ .5947

Score = 100* .6118/(.6118+.5947) ~ 50.71

So I have either been getting worse with white, or better with black as my score started at 52.17 then went to 51.09 and now 50.71.
