Here's my best try against the Grob:
Game 3078056
A draw against DF would have been by far my best game result so far.

Which he would have accepted at one stage

Well it was only my second Grob game & I wanted the option to castle as DF hammered the center. I also didn't like the mixed blessing of having my rook glued to the corner after I had opened the h-file with h5.
The early move-order in our game was very different although I began by indeed following the same line as the DF game.

That is one of the most hedious games Ive ever seen

At this point I whites position is soooo ugly, his central pawn structure is so bad, that he has two bad bishops, I didnt think that was possible until now. His worst bishop, is the dark squared bishop, because it has 5 out of 7 pawns on the dark sqaures, so with this in mind, what does squelchbelch do? He trades off his active bishop for DFs bad and inactive bishop and saves whites position, Im sorry squelch but you deserved to lose this game,. DF you better not play that kind of garbage against a renouned GK such as myself.

I seem to recall thinking "he's going to castle" after he played d3 so I wanted the king to stay in the center.
Trading the bishops was a bad mistake for me, as DF was only too kind to mention in in game message๐Ÿ™„

why in the world would he castle? Its almost an endgame! You want your king to be in the center of the board at times like those.
