A qualified psychologist called Dr. Todd Grande, who I like because his approach is very science based, has released a few videos about conspiracy theories and what personality aspects contribute to people believing them. I've put the links to two of them here, they are both about 15 to 20 minutes long. He always gives references so I've copied and pasted them.

They said it was snakes because that was what was sold in the common market where thousands of people buy food and snakes are a delicacy there but the snakes got the virus from bats. Bats are bad news virus wise, for instance ebola came from bats. All you want to do is poo poo ANY science source. That seems to be your hobby and entertainment.
There is no evidence it was bats. It is merely a guess.
Even the common cold is a corona virus from what I have heard.

There is an investigation to find out the origin of the virus. They don't know and neither do you.

Stop making unconfirmed claims as fact. You need to learn the difference between a theory and fact too.

They used to say it was snakes and now they claim it was bats or some wild cat. They do not know.
This seems legit. You're welcome.

No, it doesn't. The common flu is a corona virus. The DNA is from Earth.

It would seem the only possibility for origination would be the US because only that country has the “tree trunk” of all the varieties. And it may therefore be true that the original source of the COVID-19 virus was the US military bio-warfare lab at Fort Detrick.

The Japanese are helping with this rumor. These should get media attention if for no other reason than to quell the rumors by proving them wrong.
