I can't explain why that should be the case, sorry. If it becomes too annoying I would suggest going back to the regular site.

This problem will only impact the beta anyway.

I had a similar problem. I found the problem to be as simple as putting the user name in all lower case.
I don't know if this will help or not.

since the beta site has been up. I haven't had any problems with any portion of the site.

A Parse error: parse error, unexpected T_STRING in /var/www/redhotpawn.com/myhome/mygames.php on line 14 warning on beta5.redhotpawn.com (while trying to look at My Games), not on www.redhotpawn.com...

Hmmm, never mind. I just noticed on www.redhotpawn.com the folder /myhome/mygames.php automatically routes to /mygames/mygames.php. On beta5.redhotpawn.com it does not, causing the error.

I am busy factory testing a new version of the RHP code which I mentioned previously. A bit delayed - something urgent cropped up, but I am getting there.

Thanks to all for continuing to test, the beta has lasted longer than intended, but it is very useful to me. We will release it before the Xmas period anyway if there is no serious issues.

New version is being uploaded now, so beta is unavailable for a few minutes.

New upload now complete.

The PHP 5 beta appears to have been a big success (at least from my perspective - there has been very few problems), so we will soon be happy to roll it out to the main web server.

The version just uploaded is the latest update and is a general 'house keeping' update, with some global changes mainly to legacy code that needed tidying up. There is still the potential for problems though, so again, please do let me know if anything unusual occurs.

Thanks again to everyone for helping, I appreciate it.

What happened to the list of beta testers you had in the volunteers area? 😲
