Hey, I just want to believe in this Jesus guy, and go to Heaven.

You seem to be projecting here in quite an obvious fashion. What effort do 'you' put into being a Christian? How do you think 'your' behaviour here over the years reflects on you?

This is not answering the OP.
You would be a dishonest person if you said that Dive's words were Christian.
But, I don't expect you to comment.
You and dive have your own problems.

I think the OP says more about yourself than anybody else and whatever it is you're going through at present.

I was describing Dive's version of being a Christian.
If you disagree, that's your opinion.
All evidence though, points to me being correct.

So what would be your idea, then, of a perfect Christian? Mine might be along the lines of relinquishing all worldly goods and spending all day praying; using all of this life preparing for the certainty of life everlasting in the next one. I don't see many Christians doing that, though.

I can not say dive is not a Christian and most here see us arguing about everything. A Christian is someone right with God through Jesus Christ, so depending upon how you walk that out, it is possible a non-Christian could live a better life than a Christian by our standards. If Jesus accepts anyone who am I to disagree?

Not a slight against anything you said for the most part I.agree with your points.
