Do you think Christ was sent to the cross for preaching helping the poor?

Yes.
Is that all you got!? Just a yes? Is that all the cross means to you?
Wanting to help the poor caused the religious leaders to want to put him on a cross, with Rome assisting.
LMAO!

Christians follow Christ.
Get it, "Christ"ians?
This includes James.
So I'll ask again, why did they crucify Christ if all he did was focus on was helping the poor?
.. Substitutionary atonement is a central tenet of the Christian faith as taught throughout the scriptures.
This is a doctrine of Christians. Tell me where in the teachings of Christ this doctrine appears.

What is the point now in relation to the thread?
Originally posted by @whodeyYou think you are smart ... right ? I asked another question. Clearly you lack the ability to answer it. Just be a man and say so.
I thought my point was obvious.
This thread implies that all one has to do to be right with God is to give to the poor. What then was the cross all about?
The cross does not relieve you of the requirement to do good works. I know what you are getting at. You are a lazy Christian who professes to be a constant sinner and you need Jesus to save you over and over and over ever week after week. You think Jesus is there to save you from doing stuff. WRONG ... Sorry you will find it does not work that way.

The only thing you have proven is that you're a liar, and a cad.
