Why not just tell people to do good works?
He was crucified for suggesting people live righteously by doing good works . They called it sedition.

If your heart was truly transformed by the Holy Spirit you would not be asking these dumb questions over and over. In any event James answers your question. Read the opening post.
It's such a dumb question.

whodey never considers quality.

Either sedition or blasphemy; or probably, when it comes right down to it, both.

Sedition is conduct or speech inciting people to rebel against the authority of a government, in this case the Roman imperial government.

Sedition is a point of view.

Heck, people under the influence of alcohol working for some steel companies can get charged for 'terrorism"

If sedition is the verdict (point of view) of the government then ~ in Roman times ~ then that's why the accused would be executed by crucifixion. The suggestion that he was crucified for "helping the poor" ~ like whodey has been suggesting ~ is absurd and ideologically driven.

You and billions of others may believe this to be so, and maybe he was, but the reason he was executed by the Romans was sedition and not because he was "telling the truth of spirituality".
