It appears that the reason ISIS released the Yazidis in question may have been more economic than political:

“According to Tom Robinson of the Rise Foundation, which works with refugees in Kurdistan, the hostages were released after their freedom was paid for.

"’This is happening quite a lot. A great deal of money has gone into buying back captured women and children,’ Robinson said.”

I would like to have some respect for you (Duchess64), but your continuing to associate Israel and right-wing white American men with all manner of evil intent, while defending ISIS, Iran, Muslim extremists, and Palestinians as having good intentions makes it extremely difficult.

Also consider the fate of the male school children from that same school. They were not raped, sold, or any such. They were killed like dogs.

That has to be the lowest form of criminal activity, killing school children.

If you cite specific stories like that you should cite sources to go with them.

Otherwise you could just be making them up.

Which you would of course never do....

Are you attempting to defend the murder of male school children?

Actually I insinuated that sometimes you make stuff up.

I wasn't insinuating that you actually made THIS up.

Nevertheless, it's still best to link to the source of such stories if at all possible.

Partly because while YOU might not have made them up, it's always possible
that someone else did.

Arguments over whether we should have DST all year around [in the UK] have
frequently in the past featured heavily a story about a bunch of school children
mown down on the way to school in an experiment where DST all year round was
trialled... However it turns out that this incident never actually occurred.
The politicians using it, however, probably all thought it was true.

Without a source, such stories can easily be urban myths.
