I respect your view, but I know for myself that the entire Book of Mormon is true. If you read it, read Moroni 10:4-5. If you do as Moroni asks with a sincere heart and really wishing to know if it is true, the Holy Ghost will manifest unto you that it is true.
Moroni
Benoni
Macaroni
Bologne

Which of the above makes sense?

Do you believe what the Bible says? If so, how do you respond to this verse in Revelation 22:18? "For I testify unto every man that hears the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall ADD to these things, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this book." So what of the book of Mormon? How can John Smith add to the Bible and not escape condemnation if this scripture is true?

Well, in the opening post he never stated explicitly what he meant by LDS, so I simply started to talk about LDS - lithium dodecyl sulphate. It's called a lesson in being specific, or people will take you out of context.
Gotcha

How about Jews? You wouldn't let your kids play with Jews would you? How about Mexican Jews, surely they aren't on the list?

Why just bikes then? I'd have gone with a black Dodge Charger with a Hemi and tinted windows.... oh and chrome, lots of chrome.
Yes, I would let my children play with Jews. I don't know any, but if I met any, Mexicans Jews would be people I'd extend friendship to.

How about you explain how the Book of Mormon was 'uncovered' and whereabouts the plates of Nephi are now.
An ancient prophet, Moroni, deposited the record of his people in the hill Cumorah at about 421 AD. In 1820, there was a revival occuring in the U.S. It was a time when many questioned the churches they attended. The Quaker religion was another religion spawned by this religious confusion. At fifteen, Joseph's family were of the Presbyterian faith, at least four of them. Hereon, I give you his account. (By the way, if you look up revival around 1820, I believe you will see what I just told you. I wouldn't know. I found it in my U.S. history book.)
"While laboring under the extreme difficulties caused by the contests of these parties of religionists, I was one day reading the Epistle of James, first chapter fifth verse, which reads: If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upraideth not;; and it shall be given him.
Never did any passage of scripture come with more power to the heart of man than this did at this time to mine. It seemed to enter with great force into every feeling of my heart. I reflected on it again and again, knowing that if any person needed wisdom from God, I did; for how to act I did not know, and unless I could get more wisdom then I then had, I would never know; for the teachers of religion of the different sects understood the same passages of scripture so differently as to destroy all confidence in setting the question by an appeal to the Bible.
Edit: I'll be back a little later for the rest, gotta go.

That is not consistent with my observations that my Mormon neighbours will not let their kids play with the Jewish kids or the Mexicans on our street.... you must be wrong.

In addition to being wrong, please address the concerns Whodey expressed regarding Revelations 22:18. For reference, this is where he eviscerated the entire basis of the Mormon faith.

I've a simple two-part question. Who is Solomon Spalding, and what do those of the Mormon persuasion make of the book, "Manuscript Found," which he wrote in 1812?

You're interpreting "book" to mean "the 66-book version of the Bible that you grew up with." In that passage however John means the book of Revelation. So this isn't a problem for our Mormon, Zelda.

I also want details regarding the 'under garments' they have to wear. Is this some kind of 'ball choker' as I imagine it is?
