The Theory of Evolution describes natural selection and the origin of species.
It makes no claims about the origin of life.
It certainly doesn't talk about dirt.

You need to talk to a geologist, pedologist or edaphologist - they can all talk dirt.
Sonship apparently believes (we believe) that life started as dirt.

In reality, of course, we were fashioned from clay. 😞

“Woe unto him that striveth with his Maker! Let the potsherd strive with the potsherds of the earth. Shall the clay say to him that fashioneth it, What makest thou? or thy work, He hath no hands?”

“Ignorance more frequently begets confidence than does knowledge: it is those who know little, not those who know much, who so positively assert that this or that problem will never be solved by science.”

Would you agree the combination is more likely in a person of a religious persuasion?

Hardly. The Bible teaches the importance of humility and wisdom.

Nobody’s tried to convince me of that. And I’m not aware of attempts of that occurring to other Christians, at least not without threats of violence.
Regardless If its happened or to you or not, could you imagine any reason why people of another faith might want to convince you that your God is false.

Could those reasons apply to Atheists?

I suppose.

Edit: People trying to convert me to a false religion and trying to convert me to atheism amount to pretty much the same thing - abandoning the only true and living God.

Don’t you agree?

No. In fact I was thinking of you specifically 😵

Never said the theory of evolution proposed an explanation for the origin of life. But it does claim the first life form was single-celled organisms and everything else resulted from that. The theory’s total garbage.
I was replying to Sonship who posted;
Tell me how dirt eventually became a thinking mind ...

That is the first mistake in your post.

Your second mistake is saying "The theory's total garbage.

You would make a great name for yourself if you could even put any doubt on Evolution.
(By doubt I mean scientific doubt, not name-calling or invoking the supernatural.)

The theory’s got a lot of significant (and in my opinion) fatal flaws.

Unfortunately, the theory of evolution, like the theory of man-made global warming, is like a religion to atheists and you can’t get them to examine either critically or even objectively. They just proclaim each is “settled science,” stick their fingers in their ears, close their eyes and say, “Nah, nah I can’t hear you!”

The Theory of Evolution has nothing to do with atheism and is acknowledged
by atheists and theists (including the Catholic Church) alike.

May I ask what the flaws are in your opinion?

Well, it doesn't really conform with the overwhelming evidence provided in the book of Genesis.
