@rajk999 saidYou are mixed up.
ASSURANCE OF SALVATION . Not there. Go learn to read.
By the way, I know its there, but you do not want to quote that one because that one condemns your entire argument that YOU have assurance of salvation.
You take my standing on the assurance of salvation which is biblical with the assurance of reward which is dependent on overcoming.
In 12 years you've learned nothing.
@sonship saidWhere is the expression ASSURANCE OF SALVATION IN THE BIBLE? Its not there. What you have is an interpretation based on your twisting and manipulating scriptures. You are full of lies and deceit .. Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. (John 8:44 KJV)
You are mixed up.
You take my standing on the assurance of salvation which is biblical with the assurance of reward which is dependent on overcoming.
In 12 years you've learned nothing.
In 12 yrs I am unaffected and unmoved by your false doctrines. I think you are jealous.
@sonship saidIs your answer to my question therefore more or less, ‘because it says so in the bible”. ?
God will do what He said He will do.
To save us - He would do what He said He would do.
To SO LOVE us that we not perish - He will do what He said He will do.
To uphold His eternal righteous nature - He will do what He said He will do.
This is what we must get use to.
To demonstrate upon the rebel forever what His attitude towards sinnin ...[text shortened]... rusalem and have a universe in which righteousness alone dwells- He will do what He said He will do.
@sonship saidThis is just a wafflesome volley of assertions and circular rhetoric. There's no coherent moral content here. He will torture because he will torture. He shall do it because he shall do it. The "rebels" will be tortured for their lack of belief because the "rebels" will be tortured for their lack of belief. You believe it because you believe it. Where's the moral argument?
All powerful does not mean He will FORCE you to be reconciled and FORCE you to be a part of His kingdom.
Feel the awesome weight of responsibility for your eternal destiny.
Feel the awesome weight of your own free will.
And don't be a fool. If you are not saved, come to the Lord Jesus Christ accepting Him as your substitute under the judgment of God for you ...[text shortened]... Do not wait for God to coerce and force you to receive His offer.
Receive Christ thankfully.
@mercury saidThere is no such thing in the bible for people. Evil and sinful people will be destroyed. The bible only describes eternal torment for Satan, the Beast and the False Prophet.
If a god is merciful, loving and all powerful, then why does it feel the need to burn people alive forever?
@sonship saidHere is the ONLY assurance of salvation in the bible and it is from Jesus Christ. Paul has no authority to tell anyone that they are assured of salvation. Salvation depends on the judgment of Jesus Christ.
You take my standing on the assurance of salvation which is biblical with the assurance of reward which is dependent on overcoming.
My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. (John 10:27-28 KJV)
The sheep of Christ are assured of salvation.
You are not one, beause you do not hear, neither heed the voice of Christ
Before whack-a-mole games distract me, let me continue on this matter of Jesus taking the LEAD to have the fear of God. This is amazing to me.
No human being ever feared God as much as Jesus did. He was a perfect human being. Yet He feared God in these aspects.
He feared to do anything out of Himself apart from His Father.
"Then Jesus answered and said to them, Truly, truly, I say to you, the Son of Man can do nothing from Himself except what He sees the Father doing, for whatever that One does, these things the Son also does in like manner." (John 5:19)
Jesus feared to act independently of His Father, and that even though He was a perfect man!
No man ever feared God to a greater degree. Jesus feared to speak even His own words. He was perfect man. Yet He feared God to speak apart from what His Father was speaking.
"Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in Me? The words that I say to you I do not speak from Myself, but the Father who abides in Me does His works." (John 14:10)
He who does not love Me does not keep My words; and the word which you hear is not Mine, but the Father's who sent Me." (v.24)
Amazing! Jesus the Perfect Man spoke on the Father's words. He feared to act or speak independently.
@sonship saidWhat is amazing is that you can post that without seeing how hypocritical it is. You have spent the last decade condemning the words / teachings of Christ as Pharisaical, legalistic and works salivation. You have no shame.
