By all means one should heed the words of Christ believe in Him as the Son of God, the Savior, the Lord who is able to save is to the uttermost.
"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that everyone who believes into Him would not perish, but would have eternal life.
For God did not send the Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world might be saved through Him." (John 3:16,17)
Those words were spoken by Jesus Christ.
They were recorded and written for the world to see by His disciple John.
It is terrible face eternity without Jesus. These days often when I pray the first thing I do is ask God to have mercy on any enemies I might have. For to be eternally lost is not something I would wish on anyone.
Avoid Eternal Judgment by coming to Jesus the Lord and Savior.
"He who believes into Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe has been condemned already, because he has not believed into the name of the only begotten Son of God.
And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the light, for their works were evil. "
These words were also spoken by Jesus. Can you imagine? A man speaking this way - it has to be recorded and His astounding testifying deeds which accompanied such words as the world never heard.
He goes on:
"For everyone who practices evil hates the light, and does not come to the light, lest his works be reproved. But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his works may be manifested that they are wrought in God." (See John 3:18-21)
Eternal punishment is God letting a soul know just how He thinks of our sins.
So we need Jesus.
Now these words were spoken in the same chapter but by John the Baptist concerning Jesus. They were also recorded by the disciple John.
"He who believes into the Son has eternal life; but he who disobeys the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides upon him." (John 3:36)
The wrath of God should abide on the Devil. It should not abide on any human beings who refuse to be saved from following the Devil's rebellion. So we need the Lord Jesus always.
And He is willing to receive all who come to Him, and He will not cast them out.
"All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and him who comesto Me I shall by no means cast out.
For I have come down from heaven not to do My own will but the will of Him who sent Me.
And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that of all which He has given Me I should lose nothing but should raise it up in the last day." (John 6:37-40)
So we need the love and mercy of the Lord Jesus to save us. We need Jesus Himself - the available and living Savior God.
@sonship saidPeople will do well to ignore your lies, and just heed the words of Jesus Christ who told people clearly how to avoid eternal punishment, and how to get eternal life in the Kingdom of God. Here it is. Maybe this passage is not in your bible:
By all means one should heed the words of Christ believe in Him as the Son of God, the Savior, the Lord who is able to save is to the uttermost.
[b]"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that everyone who believes into Him would not perish, but would have eternal life.
For God did not send the Son into the world to condemn the world, but that ...[text shortened]... mercy on any enemies I might have. For to be eternally lost is not something I would wish on anyone.
Is a simple matter. Its not the complicated nonsense you continue to post. those who help the poor, feed the hungry etc etc, are the righteous ones and will get eternal life. Those hypocrites who just profess faith and claim to know God, without doing good works ill go into eternal punishment
When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory: And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats: And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.
Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me. Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.
Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not. Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee? Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.
And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal. (Matthew 25:31-46 KJV)

I referred to some verses John 3:16,17, 18-21; 6:37-40.
Which one of these passages is a lie Rajk999?
Matthew 25 of course is in my Bible. I would have it no other way.
@sonship saidMatt 25 is in your bible but not in your heart. You have crookedly, like an angel of the Devil, removed those words of Christ from your heart. do not apply to Christians,
that they do not have to do good works and live righteously,
that they are saved and they already have eternal life,
that they do not need to keep Christ' commandments.
Friends with a thread like on a Discussion you can wait around, see who else has something to say, and then enter yourself.
I do not encourage anyone to treat the lake of fire in that manner - wait around to see who is there. Do not wait to see who is lost and has what opinion. Ceased the time while the Lord is near and call upon Him for salvation.
Eternal damnation is not a realm in which one curiously waits around to see who has what opinion there. Avoid eternal punishment as soon as you become aware that Christ is available to save you.
Now is the acceptable time. Now is the day of salvation.
@rajk999 saidMatthew 25:31-46 is not an account of the last judgment.

Matthew 25:31-46 is not the same judgment as that at the great white throne at the end of millennium in Revelation 20:11-15.
Though this has been explained to you, you don't understand it or believe it.
Matthew 25:31-46 does not make lies out of John 3:16-21; 6:37-40 which I quoted above.
Avoid eternal punishment by believing in Christ with all your heart.
He who comes to Him He will by no means cast out forever.
"All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and him who comes to Me I shall by no means cast out."
So let me tell the people while you engross yourself in your 90 games of chess you have going.
@sonship saidRegardless of whether or not it is the 1st, 2nd, 3rd 4th judgment, Jesus said clearly that those who do not do these good works are going into EVERLASTING PUNISHMENT & those who do these good works get ETERNAL LIFE.
Matthew 25:31-46 is not an account of the last judgment.
Matthew 25:31-46 is not the same judgment as that at the great white throne at the end of millennium in Revelation 20:11-15.

There is something missing from your doctrine.
There is something contrary to Christ in your doctrine
There is something sinister about you
There is something evil about the way you try to draw people away from Christ
You are an angel of the Devil.
That I should speak the Gospel elsewhere I fully agree. And I do.
There is an anger with God which argues that because God loves me He should suspend His hatred for sin. This argument goes that God must be either Love or Righteous but not both. Since the sinner more cares about being left alone for what he has committed he leans toward God dropping His other attributes and maintaining ONLY His great love.
God though will not drop His other attributes for the sake of maintaining ONLY His love. He will LOVE and He will maintain His absolute sinless perfection which hates unrighteousness.
The Cross is that place in the universe where God maintains BOTH His great love for the sinner AND His great hatred for the sinner's sin. He commands us to believe that He has done this by believing into the Son of God.
Don't follow the philosophy "God, if you are love then completely FORGET about Your hatred for sin. You cannot do that and love me too. Checkmate." - the guilty sinner
Do not follow the philosophy that argues this way:
" God we have heard of Your great love. If you are a great Lover of men then we're sorry You'll will have to relinquish Your holiness, righteousness, glory and justice. It is OK though if you discard these attributes of Yours from eternity. At least you will LOVE me. That is all that matters to me."
What? God can at and the same time uphold His eternal unquenchable love AND His holiness, perfection, glory and righteousness?
He does this in Christ on Calvary.
The Love of God towards sinful man is manifested and the hatred of God
towards the abomination of sinning are simultaneously manifested.
He SO LOVED the world that He gave what was of the utmost treasure to Himself God and man united together in perfect union.
He, the Son of God, carried up our sins in His body onto the tree (the cross) and suffered under that judgment divine. He was made sin on our behalf that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.
God commands us to believe in the Son of God. He commands that we believe in the One who gave Himself as the propitiatory offering for the sins of - - - the whole world.
So His divine Justice was maintained and His divine and eternal love for the sinner was ALSO maintained. God calls us to obey the faith and believe. That is believe in Jesus our Lord, the Son of God, our Savior.
@Rajk999
After His resurrection and shortly before His ascension Jesus reviewed the major aspects of His ministry Luke 24:44-48.
"And He said to them, These are My words which I spoke to you while I was still with you, that all the things written in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms concerning Me must be fulfilled.
Then He opened their mind to understand the Scriptures.
And He said to them, Thus it is written, that the Christ would suffer and rise up from the dead on the third day, And that repentance for forgiveness of sins would be proclaimed in His name to all the nations, beginning from Jerusalem.
You are witnesses of these things." (Luke 24:44-48)
With the help of the Holy Spirit, I too, am praying and seeking that the minds of readers would be opened to understand not only the Old Testament Scriptures which is all the disciples had then, but the New Testament Scriptures which were penned after the ascension of Christ.
God in Christ wants to deliver us from the "WRATH which is coming" .
" . . . you turned to God from the idols to serve a living and true God and await His Son from the heavens, whom He raised from the dead, Jesus, who delivers us from the wrath which is coming." (1 Thess. 1:9b,10)
Ask the Lord Jesus to deliver you from the wrath which is coming.
"For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven upon all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who hold down the truth in unrighteousness." (Rom. 1:18)
Do not wait until the wrath is revealed.
