Moron , why did you leave out the very next verses 17 & 18. There are three groups

[i]If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire. Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? If any man ...[text shortened]... rnal life eventually
3. The Evil and Wicked - Eternal Punishment[/b]

THREE GROUPS - STOP LYING.
Now here's a Christian example I'm sure all seekers will want to follow. </sarcasm>

@Kevin-Eleven

Although I can't honestly say "in Christ" I can say I appreciate you as a fellow sprout of the Cosmos. 🙂

I am glad you find somthing to appreciate,

Do you mean by this that you have doubts that you could say that you are "in Christ"? Or do you mean that you doubt that either of us could say we are "in Christ"?

What exactly do you mean there?

If I were actually a Buddhist, I would write something like, "It's better not to store tomatoes in the fridge."

Sorry -- that was also ambiguous. I don't self-identify as a Buddhist or a Christian.

Of course. Preachers of Satanic doctrines like sonship must be condemned in the strongest language. Christ and the Apostles warned of these people trying to lead people astray away from righteousness.. Sonship condemns good works and righteousness and promotes mouth worship.

In the Jewish faith (which is the foundation of the Christian faith), there are three venues of activity: the mind, the mouth, and the hands (well, symbolically -- the hands representing outward activity in the material [or apparently occurrent] world).

When a cat says something, it says it with its whole body. You can see its ribcage squeeze.

I don't believe @Sonship promotes mouth-worship alone (in your framing). Sure, there are many with false "Christian" tongues (e.g., in politics, or everyday nasty people with gold crosses on their chests), but I believe some Christians (including @Sonship) actually do make the brave post-egoistical gesture of inviting Christ into their hearts, and from there Christian thoughts can form, Christian words can be spoken, and Christian deeds can be done (which are generally not bragged about, similar to other spiritual traditions).

Of course. I agree with that. Sonship does not preach that.

His doctrine is after a profession of faith, the Christian has eternal life and not even God can cancel that eternal life, even if the Christian lives in sin and commits the most heinous of crimes.

But Jesus, who is either a primary messenger of God if not God Himself, advised that we should check ourselves before judging and rating others.

It's a difficult road, isn't it? 😉

No. Its an easy road. I am not asking, neither am I interested in knowing, what sonship does personally, whether he is good, bad or ugly. I have no interest in that. Neither do I care to divulge such information about myself to the world. If the topic was about commenting on these personal matters, then that would be judging others.

I am speaking about the doctrine that he is preaching to others. Jesus and all the Apostles warned about false preachers and one be beware of them.

I hope you got the difference.

At this stage I might be too diffuse to notice the difference, but who am I to judge if you wish to go about nitpicking with your microfocus? 😉

The phrase "in Christ" might be so foreign that some have no idea what it means.

I have to remind myself of things like this often.
I use phrases from the New Testament that others have no clue as to their meaning.

Others take a stab as figuring out what it might mean.
As they have every right to try.

Hopefully some others still may learn more of the meaning of a phrase.
You know a new culture calls for the creation of new phrases and new words
many times.

Kevin, I would say firstly (not that you asked) "in Christ" is impossible if Christ is dead.

If Christ is not alive or available or enterable then "in Christ" simply is nonsense.

If Christ is God-man, alive, and enterable (as He is) then "in Christ" has meaning.
