Are the rain forest, pollution, disparity in wealth, and ocean temperatures mentioned in your Bible in terms of post-1914? What are your thoughts on things that are getting better in the world?

Its clear that they are the result of greed and a mismanagement of the earth's resources and an unwillingness to compromise economic interests for the environment, which is mentioned in the Bible but not in those exact terms.

What things, you have not said.

If they're not mentioned in the Bible why are you mentioning them in support of your claims about a Bible-based prophesy with regard to 1914?

They are symptomatic of things that are mentioned in the Bible, things like greed and an unwillingness to compromise. I thought this was obvious, apparently not obvious enough.

If you are not aware of them, does that not undermine your credibility as someone participating in a debate on this issue?

you really need to work on your self-awareness, you are doing the same thing that you are accusing people of. you are selectively choosing bad things.

are the things on your list enough to call these the end days?

my self awareness? I need a certificate in optimism to engage here! I did not make a list i merely thought of things that seriously are not getting any better at present.

Go on, tell us exactly why you chose the year 1914 for this statement.

Go ahead, we're listening.

greed? compromise??? can you tell me a time in history where greed did not exist and when people were good at compromising?

Wasn't there massive greed and unwillingness to compromise throughout the last 2,000 years? Where I live in the world the unwillingness to compromise has come up against growing and vibrant civil society as a result of the rolling back of despotism. The impunity of greed is on the wane. Compromise and moderation are on the rise, tough though the political wrestling may be. Some indicators may be continued cause for concern, but where I live has been getting better and better for the last 15 years, the last 50 years, the last 100 years. It's way better here than it was in 1914.

you are busted! if two people exist and two people die its 50 percent, the great and illustrious badger has put you right, more people died, it matters little in percentage terms, its the magnitude that we are interested in, nothing compares to the world wars in magnitude, you busted, sooooo, busted.
It strikes me as rather odd that here we are talking about the (alleged) impending Great Tribulation, which will result in mass killing far beyond anything that has ever happened on planet earth before, save for the last time the Biblical God (allegedly) committed genocide and you're acting like a small child.

'nothing compares to the world wars in magnitude, you busted, sooooo, busted'.
