What are the teachings of Christ? I'm not looking for a broad overview, but specifics. A list, if possible, complete with book, chapter and verse. Please only include direct quotes. Thanks ahead of time for your cooperation.

So you basically want extracts from the four Gospels wherever Jesus is quoted? What about when he spoke to Paul? Would that count as a direct quote? What about non-Biblical sources?

so basically you want someone to google all that information for you because you are to lazy to come up with it yourself.

i think this calls for a change of topic in this thread: let us talk instead about the lazyness of the human being and how some people degenerate into forum parasites asking for information that only requires some time on google.

ask me what GIYM means.

EDIT:of course there is a possibility none of the above applies to you. in which case you are a troll and could you please stop trolling?

Seek and you shall find. Matt 7:7

I'm not sure of the meaning of this verse but I think it was a prophecy about the internet.

To love God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength, and to love your neighbor as yourself.

I think that sums it up.

Let me narrow things down a bit.

I'm not looking for broad generalizations (e.g., love God with all your heart, etc.), or everything Christ said about anything. What I'm looking for specifically (I should've mentioned this earlier), are the teachings of Christ which pertain to how one ought to behave; i.e., what one must do in order to be considered a true follower of Christ. Christ said a lot of things about Himself, about spiritual realities, the future, etc., many things that haven't much to do with how one ought to live. These can be disregarded (for the time being). I'd like to create a list of only practical teachings.

Thanks.

Personally, I'm not interested in non-Biblical sources.

The definition of a troll is someone who posts something off-topic (e.g., "let us talk instead about..."), irrelevant (e.g., "ask me what GIYM means."), or inflammatory (e.g., "...you are... lazy... you are a troll..."). Your post fits this definition, not mine.

If you don't want to participate in this discussion, then please... don't.

Thanks, but 'The Jesus Seminar' is of no interest. Although, there are a few relevant verses here.

Yes, it does. Although, if possible, I'm looking for more practical teachings. If the supreme commandment can be broken down and put into practical terms, that's be fine, too.

I do plan on contributing to this effort, even if no one else does. Just as soon as I have some time alone with my Bible.

No interest? I can scarcely think of anything that should be of greater interest to someone who wants to know what Jesus said.

Sorry, I don't believe anything 'The Jesus Seminar' has claimed regarding what Jesus did or did not say.
