Does that ever happen to you?

After a day of debating and arguing?

I get depressed - surely most of us do. And I find it happening more and more regularly lately ...
But, I find my discussions and arguments and berratings and conversations here don't actually make me feel down, even when I come up against absolute raving lunatics.

It helps that many of the lunatics live in North America and Europe - a very long way away ...

Australia may as well be on the moon. lol

I should clarify. I don't mean clinically depressed. I just mean worn out from trying so hard to form a decent argument. I would love to prove something about what I believe. But that's ok. I'm having fun here just the same.

Maybe some day I'll develop an argument heard around the world. But I doubt it.

Ha...it may well be the case that Europe and North America harbour many lunatics but the most rabid, frothing at the mouth, lunatic gracing these boards at present with his effervescent ramblings of infallible truth is none other than Lord Vishvahetu; a denizen of that strange land on the underside of the earth - Australia! ;]

Did Christ come to argue? If memory serves he came to deliver the "good news" and let the vast majority at that time reject it. So maybe that is the source of your ills. 😉

Yeah, that's depressing.
Although it is Queensland and here in Oz, people from that state are often recognised as being a bit strange. (And I say that having been born there.)

Lord Vishvahetu is a spokesperson for the Supreme Spiritual Intelligence, who happens to look like Ming the Merciless.

Who could argue with Jesus. I even started a thread some time ago with the title "A debate with Jesus", but nobody could do it.

But I'm sure you're right about the source of my ills. 😉

Actually when Jesus was here many of the religious ones not only argued with Jesus but of course finally had him put to death.
But I agree it is very tiresome to have arguing and have ones attack ones beliefs or ideas. It shouldn't happen but that's the world we live in. But knowing who the ruler of this world is at this time, it's not supprising that ones with no good in their hearts are here from time to time.
Jesus said to be peaceable, so we should all try our best to do that.

No, not that, anything but that.
I repent.
Lord Jesus save me ...

Trust me, if he were here these same people would be arguing with him like they do you and probably with the same results.

Your response? How about have a nice day and move on to those who know they are in need of a "physician". 😉

Lol, ok, seeing that you demonstrate a most admirable disposition towards repentance 🙂

I get the impression that the atheist fully understands the theist's point of view, and figure this isn't a sensible position to take.

The theist cannot comprehend the atheists point of view, and in light of this, does not figure this is a sensible position to take.

Each side seems to claim that the other side are the ones that cannot comprehend their point of view.

Could it be that I am biased?

Fishy Vishy is the classic example of what happens when you spend too long bending bannanas.
