Do you think gays hate God?
People don't sit around thinking about how much they hate God. But it becomes apparent how much they do when they begin to speak. I'm sure you've read shavixmir's thread, (calling out God). And the others too.

No I'm not. And don't try to put me in that stereotypical box. God doesn't hate people. People hate people. But that's another topic.

I know a lot of gays who love Jesus. Teach Sunday school and all that.

Jesus said "if you love me you'll obey me." The bible is clear about homosexuality.
Just because a person is saved doesn't automatically make them perfect. I got "saved" 25 years ago, and it took years for me to purge myself of destructive behavior. I'm still not where I should be. I like the verse in Philippians that says, "Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:"
I understand that the church's official stand on homosexuality should not contradict the bible, but what I don't understand is why Christians are so obsessed with homosexuality. The subtlety of unrepented bigotry seizes on scripture to justify its own ends and neglects Christ's call to love our neighbors as ourselves. Jesus Christ demands love, preeminently above every other aspect of God's law. It is not a Christian's job to judge others, but to simply carry the Good News to the world: "Come back to God!" A Christian's concern should be first an foremost to extend God's kingdom into the lives of all people, without regard to their sexuality.
Originally posted by josephwAgain a wild unfounded statement based on the typical human belief that everything was better in our parents time. Illegitimate children has been a fact of life throughout recorded history. I know of no statistics that will even remotely back up your claim other than the population is bigger so there must be more illegitimate children.
There are more illegitimate children today than ever.
Come to Cape Town some time and you will find that the proportion of people of mixed race is astounding considering that mixed race marriage has been frowned on or banned here for centuries.
Even Jesus was illegitimate.

If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.
Romans 1:26-27
For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature
And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.
