Hey, thanks FMF for reminding me that your "interest" is probably not really genuine. You just want more opportunity to line up your little sneering remarks. The phony objective sounding open mindedness almost had me fooled for awhile. Thanks for reminding me not to waste any time on "helping" you to understand something that you only want to exploit with twists, warps, and sneerings.
A proper, honest response to my honest question would be more interesting than this, sonship.

As a matter of genuine interest, why do you care?

Come sir, there is nothing genuine about you.

The same way how all atheists know there is no God. They know everything.

You mean that one is as good as the other?
Proof of god is not needed as disproof is not needed?
That both groups deserve equal respect for their individual beliefs?

Because I find your behavior intriguing.

I respect an individual or group's right to have their own opinions, beliefs and ideas, but I don't have to respect those opinions, beliefs or ideas.

I also have the right to disagree, criticizes and dispute them.

The opinion, belief and idea that there is no God based on the presumption of the lack of evidence is idiotic in the extreme.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

We have in human history one Jesus of Nazareth. if His teaching is so incoherent and fantastical nonsense, I doubt that His influence would be so prevalent on our civilization.

As a matter of fact you have to steal concepts from His teaching in order to criticize Christians. You steal from God to try to make your atheistic points.

Of course when examined by someone like dj2becker you often fall back on a "not interested / I don't care " escape.

If I sincerely and honestly find your portentous talk of revenge, wrath and torment to be far-fetched, and I do not believe it, do you then think that "the Devil" is my leader, a relationship between non-believers and your "Devil" figure that you have mentioned many times?

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This is all ineffective grandstanding sensationalism to me.
It may have some feel-good effect on you.

Paul writing to Christians (like me) said that the mind set on the flesh is emnity against God.

" Because the mind set on the flesh is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, for neither can it be." (Rom. 8:7)

Maybe you'd like to hoard all the self pity you can. But here the audience is Christians. And Paul teaches that even for them, if their mind is set on their fallen nature they are at enmity with God.

Jesus called his leading disciple Peter - "Satan" because he expressed his opinion while his mind was set on the things of man rather than the will of God.

" And Peter took Him aside and began to rebuke Him, saying, God be merciful to You, Lord! This shall by no means happen to You! (crucifixion).

But He turned and said to Peter, Get behind Me, satan! You are a stumbling block to Me, for you are not setting your mind on the things of God, but on the things of men." (Matt. 16:22,23) [/b]

So don't break your tongue licking your wounds that someone called you a follower of Satan. Even Peter the leading disciple Jesus indicated was following Satan at that moment.

Poor, poor FMF! Did they say you were a follower of Satan ??
Poor boy. You're SO perfect how could those mean Christians ever say YOU of all people are a follower of Satan ?

Well, Paul was writing to Christians when he said that some in the church who were young widows turned aside to follow Satan.

" I will therefore that younger widows marry, bear children, keep house, give no opportunity to the opposer or reproach,

for already some have turned aside after Satan." (1 Tim. 5:14,15)

They weren't atheists but they had occasion to turn aside from healthy spirituality to follow after Satan. So you're not being unduly "picked on" by me.

Paul says it is risky for a new believer to be put in a position of authority. Why? He might become a follower of Satan and fall into the same condemnation due to inordinate ambition.

" [An elder] Not a new convert, lest being blinded with pride he fall into the judgment suffered by the devil." (1 Tim. 3:6)

This is not an atheist. This is a Christian saint who in some sense has followed Satan to end up in some judgment.

There are other cases of God talking about His own saints being influenced to follow Satan. So i don't think in your self centered self pity you should feel so picked on because someone said you were a follower of Satan.

It is actually not too hard to do so.

Do you think I am doing "Satan's" work when I come out with my "sick and diseased questioning" in reply to the claims you make here about reality?

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The phrase is "diseased WITH questionings".
And yes, I think you are deceived and " diseased with questionings."

When I find myself following the fallen nature and thus following Satan I desire to TURN back my heart to the Lord Jesus. I find that more constructive then laying down in self pity for the rest of my life -

"Me, ME!?! A follower of Satan!? But how could that BE? Its ME, So perfect, Me, So beyond reproach and full of perfection in every way. I will never get over being found a follower of Satan!!"

Do you support or condemn the "work" I do here in this marketplace of ideas, or do you believe that I am a member or a follower of "Satan's rebellion"
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

But if I did, you are so very TOLERANT that it shouldn't bother you if I did.
Do you consider yourself a TOLERANT person ?
If you do then if someone said you were working for the Devil, you wouldn't let it bother you so much.

What do you think about Jesus on the cross praying to His Father, to forgive them because they do not know what they are doing ?

" And Jesus said, Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing." (see Luke 23:34)

Paul was a big oposser and persecutor of the Christian church. He says that he acted ignorantly in unbelief.

" Who formerly was a blasphemer and a persecutor and an insulting person; but I was shown mercy because being ignorant I acted in unbelief. " ( 1 Tim. 1:13)

The same could be true of you - following Satan in unbelief and the ignorance that stems from it.

, a rebellion you have mentioned many times and which you presumably believe involves real people?

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I only give so much attention to talking about how bad we can be.
I find it more profitable and frankly interesting, to re-focus on Jesus Christ- Who He is, what He has accomplished, and HOW He is the all-inclusive answer.

If this does not interest you, you'll just have to be bored.
I want to talk about the wonderful Jesus. I don't want to go on and on about YOU.

What help is that to anyone, to go on and on about FMF?
So its enough. It is quite easy for any of us to be found following Satan.
We can learn to follow the Son of God.

There are no wounds for me to lick, sonship. You overestimate yourself and the ideology you propagate. So, do you believe - in the context of your own notions and theories - that I am a follower of this supposed supernatural being you call "Satan"? You seemed angry that I'd suggested that you had, but now you seem to be confirming that you did. You scarpered and hid for quite a long time, but now you seem to have scuttled back. Which is it to be?
