@kellyjay saidThat does not jive with mainstream/orthodox Christian doctrine. Man's sinful nature is not "put to death"; it remains very much alive within, but is forgiven.
The difference is we are born again in Christ, so that we live in Christ living in Him, putting to death our sinful nature by picking up our crosses and following Him. Its more than a intellectual acknowledgment of some spiritual doctrine.
You're not drifting into Sonship's self-deification heresy, now are you? Heaven forbid!
@moonbus saidSin in us is condemned we are to put to death our sinful desires. We are to live is in Christ, obeying the Spirit not living after our fleshy sinful desires but God’s Spirit. We are still in our bodies with all its desires, that is not going to change until God gives us incurable ones.

@moonbus saidI don't spend any time reading many of his posts, many of them are books, and I prefer posts that are at most a few paragraphs. So I'm not sure about what it is you think he and I are saying if we are indeed saying the same thing or not.

@kellyjay saidDo you think man is going to be made sinless and perfect (through salvation)?

@moonbus saidWhile we are here, sinless is an impossibility because we all started as sinners; once we accept Jesus' forgiveness and return to God, we are forgiven and given the righteousness of Christ for our own. At some point sinless where we no longer sin, yes, but while we are here in our corruptible bodies, we have the righteousness of God in us which we are to live by, and in our sanctification put to death that which is part of the fall our sinful nature in us.

@kellyjay saidDo you believe that your physical body will be resurrected? And if so, that this resurrected physical body will be no longer subject to what you call fleshy desires?

@moonbus saidI believe my physical body only contains my life, we are living beings with bodies not bodies with life. This is why when Jesus was questioned about the resurrection He said God was the God of the living not the dead when He was speaking about those that had died in this life. So we will be clothed with a incorruptible body. This again is for the glory of God not the importance of man.

@kellyjay saidI could not get myself to believe even 1% of the things you believe.
