Don't know, but it is never the parts that I don't understand that worry me
it is those I do, so this part about everyone being forced to take the mark
to buy or sell...is a concern.

In practical terms in my (opinion) I believe a world system where you have
to have a mark to buy or sell is coming. I imagine with the global markets
going south it will seem like the right thing to do to get everything under
control, and control is going to be the key word!

When you talk about certain economic woes being a sign that 'the end is nigh', do you mean to claim that the Bible is talking about economic woes from the point of view of beleaguered American middle class people and seen through a right wing U.S.-centric prism?

I find it facinating that many American Christians think that their country is the seat of Satan's earthy power, some like whodey even going on to extrapolate that Obama is the Devil himself. This entanglement of extreme religious self-fixation and political partisan perspectives makes quite amusing viewing.

People used to believe it was going to be like a tattoo (at least those I knew)
now I believe it will more than likely be like what we use on pets to track
them. It will be something that will show who you are, and with that they
could know all there is to know about you at all times. You could walk into
a store take stuff off the shelf and leave without ever having to stop and
pay for it, because they would know who you were and your bank account
along with what you took. So if everyone had the mark stealing would be
toast, doing a crime would be more dangerous since they could scan a
city block and know who was where.

Yes, and our governments will do it. It will seem like the right thing to do,
unless you read the scriptures and see, no, not so much.

The mark of the beast is the smart phone (or Google glass for those that can afford it).
