It was a massive debate involving about a dozen people in this community a year or two ago. It's not gossip to say refer back to this. I note that you deleted half of my sentence. Were you trying to score a cheap point even on a topic like marital rape? Here is what I posted: Ephesians 5:24 was one of the Bible verses that robbie carrobie used to use to argue that there could be no such thing as 'marital rape' in a Christian marriage.

You deleted half the sentence in order to mischaracterize the point I made. It's about Ephesians 5. You may not think so, but Christians seeking to justify marital rape is a serious matter to my way of thinking.

sonship, if you yourself also do not think, biblically speaking - and in light of verses like Ephesians 5 - there can be any such thing as 'marital rape' in a Christian marriage, just say so - rather than get all miffed about me mentioning the fact it's been discussed in this community.

We all know that husbands are not perfect, so is this statement actually true? Why should a woman have to submit to an imperfect husband?
Or is this instruction only for those wives who have married perfect Christ like men?
What do you think about 1 Corinthians 7? It's related to Ephesians 5.

According to the Bible there is no such thing as marital rape between Christians.

There can only be marital rape if the one withholding sex is not Christian. Of course it would also show the one raping is not Christian.

So if either person is a Christian there would never be marital rape. At most one is being emotionally abused and being made celebit by a non Christan spouse.

Christian spouses are not allowed to have sex with a different partner.

So if a Christian man has sex with his Christian wife against her will, it's not rape, in your view?

If that is what you got out of what I wrote, you are blind. I said if he did he is not Christian. If he would bed required to in order to have sex, she is not Christian.

If a Christian woman doesn't want sex when her Christian husband does, she is not a Christian? Huh?

When does the Christian man raping his Christian wife [i.e. has sex with her against her will] stop being a Christian? At the moment of penetration? When the rape is over, does he become a Christian again if he repents? Be clear.

You are being hamfisted and could end up being thought of as creepy. You ought to be clear about what you are saying about rape.

A Christian woman who doesn't want sex with her Christian husband when he does becomes not-a-Christian at the moment she refuses, is that what you believe?

And a Christian man having sex with his Christian wife against her will means [1] he is not a Christian and [2] nor is she, is that what you believe.

That's the logic that you use to justify your belief that there's no such thing as marital rape between Christians?

You should be clear.

I am clear dumb ass, read what I originally said again. You need to quit assuming your definition of Christian is mine.

A Christian wife would not withhold sex. If a woman does then she is not a Christian. If she claims to be then she is a liar and the truth is not within her.

A Christian woman who does not want to have sex is not a Christian ~ according to your definition of Christian ~ is that right?

You gossip too much.
And in doing so you abbreviate a lot of other things posters also said.

You want to continue some debate with a poster not here now? Go find them and invite them back so they can speak to your review of all their ideas.

I think you are engaging in a huge bit of No True Scotsman-ism.
