The way of Christ is love and good works .. and it is not an easy road.

Want to respond to that last post Mr 'Not So Just' Instructor? 😀
Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”

(Matthew 11:28-30 NKJV)

In the above verses didn't Jesus say to take His yoke for it is EASY and the burden is light? Where do you get the idea it is not easy?

Are you on the holy path of The Unicorn?

Nevermind what others say, only the Riders of The Unicorn will be saved from the Stampede to Come.

Will you call out to him? In front of your family, your friends, your fellow skeptical a-unicornists with their smug 'logic' that will doom them all?

Trust him. Even though you do not believe he exists now, if you truly open your heart, you will.

Yes, yes, SwissGambit. We know that now you are having a good hearty laugh. But the question is - will you have the last laugh ?

While you're chuckling away, my skeptical eyebrow is raised as I additionally consider :

" ... I will make my words known to you.

Because I called and you refused;
I stretched out my hands and no one heeded,
And you neglected all my counsel
And would have none of my reproof;

I also will laugh at your calamity;
I will mock when what you dread comes,
When what you dread comes like a storm,
And your calamity comes like a whirlwind,
When distress and anguish come upon you.

Then they will call on me, but I will not answer;
Then they will seek me diligently, but they will not find me.

Because they hated knowledge
And did not choose the fear of Jehovah,
And would have none of my counsel and despised my reproof;
They shall eat of the fruit of their own way
And be filled with their own devices.

For the turning away of the simple will kill them,
And the prosperity of the foolish will cause them to perish;
But he who listens to me will dwell securely
And will live at ease, without the dread of evil.

Proverbs 1:23b-33

Mock on SwissGambit. But will you have the last laugh ?

What is a rooted thread?

Im indoctrinated in the teachings of Christ. I thought you liked what Christ said. I only repeat what Christ said without changing it. .. Love Charity and Good Works .. what is your objection to that?

The others you mentioned are indoctrinated in the teachings of men who started religions. JWs - Charles Russell and Sonship - Witness Lee.

I believe all non-atheists go to hell.
God punishes them for being so naïve.

Christ in Matt 11: 28-30 is referring to the Jew who under the Law of Moses were burdened by a multitude of rites, traditions, ceremonies and sacrifices. There are many references to this burdensome Law of Moses.

The Law of Christ is the law of love and Charity and there are no rites and rituals and rules etc except Love God and Love Your Neighbour.

It is not a hard road for the poor but a hard road for the rich and worldly and the selfish. See the Rich Man and Lazarus story or the rich person who Christ told to sell what he has and give it to the poor. Hard road for those types and Christ said hardly a rich man will enter into the kingdom. For the generous and charitable it is easy.

There is actually a serious point to it. Think of how ridiculous it would sound to you if I was serious about the Unicorn thing. Now, you understand what atheists really think when you urge them to contact your god.

I thought about it. And there is no comparison.
That is what is most ridiculous.

The forcing of equivalence is done to convince yourself that the God of the Bible need not be taken seriously. That is the mechanism your Pink Unicorn is designed to fulfill.

To force equality is what is ridiculous.

I like how it's Pink now. Good. That is your mind reaching out to Him. That is the part of your mind that wants to overcome the skepticism and embrace Truth.

Still no parallel.

I never said reach out to Christ with your mind.
Something deeper and more central in your being is involved, your human spirit. That is a praying organ.

You assumed that I suggest you reach out with your mind.

Patience. The voice that takes the familiar, scornful path does not easily die out. But you saw Him today. That is the first step.

Could you provide some testimonials of people who have experienced this Unicorn you speak of. I think eight to ten would be good.

( And I can reciprocate concerning the Jesus Christ and the practical local church life I have discovered. About one hundred should do for starters. )

I can confirm that I have been witness to The great Unicorn in all it's glory
and yea verily it was the most awesome thing I have ever seen, It's majesty
and it's pinkness beyond the ability of this poor human language to describe.

Open your heart and you too can witness its grace and wondrousness.
