Right. That's how you play.

The only way they could choose their exact time and means of death is by suicide even then it's not cast in stone as quite a few people have survived attempted suicides.

The faithful martyrs of Christ are vindicated in the end not the murderous Nero who God ordained to be the government official at that time.
Why did your god figure establish, put in place and ordain the murderous regime under Nero? Did your god figure establish, put in place and ordain the Nazi government in Germany in the C20th as well?

The main reason God allows things to happen I think is to conform us to the image of His Son. Gold is put into a furnace to purify it. With the Christian faith you can find meaning in hardships and calamity since we know that everything works together for the good. What meaning do you find in hardships and suffering?

Romans 13:1-4 doesn't say "God allows things to happen".

What then does it say? I notice you have yet again dodged my question.

I have already addressed your Orwellian contortion several times. I haven't dodged any question that I thought was relevant to our discussion of Romans 13:1.

So are you saying that Romans 13:1 negates human free will? I don't think it does.

I have already answered this point.

If your spin in Romans 13:1 were to be correct, what exactly is your objection to it? Just that you don't like it?

I don’t have any objection to it. It's just a bit of inconsequential ideology/mythology that causes you to sound like you're making stuff up while being of no consequence to me, aside from causing intellectual behaviour on your part that I find quite intriguing.

So if you have no objection to it why did you bring it up? What do you think I made up?

I brought it up because this a debate and discussion forum. You know exactly what I think of what you have been claiming with regard to its meaning. And yet you trot out a question about the same thing again.

So you brought something up that you have no objection to just because this is a debate and discussion forum? Ok whatever floats your boat.
