As crazy and backward as that sounds
maybe because it is crazy and backward

I guess towns, districts, states and countries around
the world are drafting such laws as we speak so that
the world can be a safer place.

it was supremely effective wasnt it?

from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kennesaw,_Georgia
... a noticeable reduction in burglary from 1981, the year before the ordinance was passed ...
perhaps other factors were at work????????????

Yes I do understand that. If someone wants to kill you they can use most anything they could pick up. That is not the issue here. The issue is the weapons that no one in the public has any reason to own and have in their houses or cars or wherever and that is the type of guns these idiots use that gives no one a chance to run or even fight back.
Sure s ...[text shortened]... They have been discussed here in length. Perhaps you should review all the postings to see them.
Apparently you do not understand the second amendment to the U.S. Constitution.

One reason is that galveston75 said guns should be taken away. 😏

How curious and amusing that it's the most fervent and a-critical of RHPs christian community lining up in support of the US's lax gun laws!

Oh yes by all means let's stick to those amendments that were written over 200 years ago in a world that was so much different then today by all means and without any commen sense being used to adjust those man made rules that can no longer apply today in their present form.
When that was written those men had no idea how it would be now with all the weapons that are designed to do nothing more then to kill in mass by any fool that can get one which recent history is proving it ain't so hard.
Again I said you are about as selfish as they come.
If you even slightly cared about someone other then yourself and "your rights" you might try to think out side the box and come up with some ideas on how to modify those amendments to get those deadly weapons out of the hands of the public and locked away.
But no, you just want what you want and screw anyone else that happens to be on the wrong end of a AK47....

do you think it is useful to compare fists and jawbones with automatic weapons? with sniper rifles? do you believe that it is logical that your only way to stop a psycho from mowing down a school is to hope some of his victims will manage to kill him eventually? you like living in a society where every citizen must be trained with firearms? that instead of educating the population and restricting as much as possible access to firearms, you would arm your doctors, teachers, lawyers?

i wonder how fun you would find if your doctor checks your pulse with one hand and holds a gun to your head with the other.

Again the missed point is if the government let everyone who wants a gun for protection and they passed every test in the book and every regulation the government can come up with that, still does not solve the problems of humans being humans and it would never stop any of them from going off the deep in mentally in the future or having them stolen.
These issues of humanity can never be controlled.

Well it sure doesn't come accross that way. All we hear from you is " no ones gonna take my guns" but yet you give no responces of concern or regrets about the deaths that happen here daily in your great country. Your "Christian" country that you believe God blesses and is happy with it's weapons of mass destruction.
Not that you care but here is an interesting site that shows the daily killings from your beloved guns in this country.
Any ideas of how many have died here since the Sandy Hook gun spree? How does 489 sound to you up to the 4th of this month?

Enjoy the carnage as you follow along:

If guns are banned, they will only be bought in a black market and again only criminals will have guns. This whole debate is just about doing anything even though it is not the right thing, so long as we do something.
