Yes that is the point to be made to the Government that is supposed to protect it's citizens.
Leave it up to ones like RJH and not only would nothing happen but they would like to see more in the hands of everyone.

I don't know about you, but I don't have much faith in the Govt.

I agree. The Bible says "it is not a good thing for man to lead men". As good as intentions are and there are many in the world who do try to do good for their fellowman, there is still the foe that no man can control and defeat and that is satan and his affects on man such as greed. The Bible says he is the ruler of the world and as long as he has that position, man will suffer.

The govt wants gun control, I don't trust the govt., so I do not trust gun control. It is really very simple.

Yep. I do think anything they try or come up with will work sad to say.

How curious and amusing that it's the most fervent and a-critical of RHPs christian community lining up in support of the US's lax gun laws!
How curious and amusing that you would eagerly jump to the conclusion that support of gun-ownership (a foundational principle upon which this country was created) is because we want more people killed. The idea is for citizens to be able to DEFEND OURSELVES.. both against would-be killers and, perhaps more importantly, against a tyrannical government.

Maybe the all-caps helps. I don't know how else to say it so that you might finally understand. Or is it that you choose not to understand. Afterall, it's mighty convenient to pretend to think Christ's followers support mass-murder... as ignorant and oxymoronic as that idea is.

Yes sir. It's that world government that will be headed by the Antichrist, which will try to behead all Christians and Jews.

Guns are a lot harder to get hold of if they can only be held illegally. Did you see those stats I posted earlier in the thread?

I don't believe I jumped to any such conclusion, but hey, if it makes you feel better about yourself, you go ahead and imagine I'm thinking whatever you like.

What I found curious and amusing is the striking contrast between Christ's message of peace and love for one's fellow man and the strident demands of the pro-gun lobby that they be allowed to own lethal weapons in case they should feel threatened. Are you also a supporter of the death penalty?

Simple and flawed logic.

The govt wants safer streets, I don't trust the govt., so I do not want safer streets. It is really very simple.

Every human follows their own conscience when it comes to weapons and how they would use them on another human.
But knowing what the Bible says, how should a Christian view the command written there?

Micah 4:2-3
New Living Translation (NLT)

2 People from many nations will come and say,
“Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord,
to the house of Jacob’s God.
There he will teach us his ways,
and we will walk in his paths.”
For the Lord’s teaching will go out from Zion;
his word will go out from Jerusalem.
3 The Lord will mediate between peoples
and will settle disputes between strong nations far away.
They will hammer their swords into plowshares
and their spears into pruning hooks.
Nation will no longer fight against nation,
nor train for war anymore.

Just a thought but notice again these words:

"he will teach us his ways,
and we will walk in his paths.”

So it says he will teach us and we would follow his paths or his ways. So when should a Christian decide to be taught and be willing to follow? Would it be when one reads these words and apply them "now", or decide to do that at some other time?
Does one put off this learning for a later time or take this to heart and begin this learning now?
If a Christian does not follow these words now, how could others ever learn from them and in turn learn to follow Jesus by our examples of peace and love?
Shouldn't a Christian set the examples NOW so others can learn NOW?

If you really think that then you are really deceived.

This is what will happen after Christ returns to rule the world with a rod of iron. That is a prophecy and not the way it is now. We can not live in the future now. Get real.

Oh really? What a cop out of being a so called follower of Jesus. Just as Jesus said:

Matthew 7:21
New Living Translation (NLT)

21 “Not everyone who calls out to me, ‘Lord! Lord!’ will enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Only those who actually do the will of my Father in heaven will enter.

This says nothing about the future, it speaks of now. If you can possible concieve what this is saying it shows one has to be doing the "will" of God BEFORE one can enter into the kingdom of God or become it's subject.
His son Jesus clearly taught love for all and to be peaceable and to promote peace and love to all NOW just as his followers did then.

It would not take much to comprehend that if one does not understand the importance of "loving your neighbor" NOW and promotoing love NOW in all aspects of your life, then God see's NOW how ones heart and mental condition is. What makes you possible think by any imagination that you will miraculously do those things then and that God will overlook your lack of practising it NOW especially since the Bible is so clear on being this way to all your neighbors everyday?

Let's hear your cop out on this from the mind of RJH. I can't wait........
