Since all non Catholic Bibles have been HEAVILY edited since Martin Luther's time (both content, and in recent years even the substance to fit every tom dick and freak's own "desired" interpretations) my bible may not say the same things as yours.

I think this one is self explanatory don't you think? The followers of Christ would be persecuted because of His name sake. The Romans were very good at this persecution.
