And the great dragon was thrown down, the serpent of old who is called the devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him.
(Revelation 12:9 NASB)
and satan is given the freedom to decided how sin should manifest itself into physical form, is he? does he have the freedom to do anything that he wants?

I also trust that these men's theories are correct, but then I also trust God.
Explain that one away. Science is not an impediment to believing in God, but most scientists and most theists claim that it is. When they speak in this manner, they both miss the mark.
My atheism aside, concepts like evolution and the vast age of the universe don't have to be a direct threat to religious belief. Surely, from a Christian perspective, these just enhance the idea of a creator God who spent even longer over creation and had a longer term plan than originally thought.
View the 6 days of creation as 6 periods of time and Bob's your uncle. (Take them literally and Bob's an unwanted relative).

Evolution and big bang are dumb.
They are dumb because they are existing without intelligence.
If they existed with intelligence then that would point to God.
So they are said to exist without having an intelligent source.
Now to say this creation and everything in it is without intelligent......IS DUMB.
Because it takes intelligence to create a postage stamp.
So please explain how everything you see in this world and beyond has come about without intelligence?

Originally posted by Ghost of a Duke I certainly reject it is just 6000 years old. Truly shocking that somebody, in the modern age, would still believe that.
For goodness sake, Rod Stewart is older than 6000 years.
That is fine, if you reject it, is that because you know how it all started so
you know what to look at and glean how old everything is?

do you accept that a scientist could determine your age by studying your body?

Was i present at the big bang?
No.
Do i have common sense, and have i considered the considerable evidence out there?
So then you are saying that something can exist without being created. Can you see the problem with your position? (I know you are not ready to admit your lack of logic. I am hoping, however, to put a crack in your faith.)
