Yeah, you offered an interpretation and reasons which rendered the passage incoherent. I not only addressed your reasons in detail, but offered a much stronger interpretation that was completely coherent. I asked you several times to address the incoherency of your interpretation, but you declined. Like I said earlier, you seem to have trouble seeing the ...[text shortened]... t address it, how are you any different from those "other Christians" you constantly deride?
You thrive on picking away at others but when the heat comes on you then you don't like it. Where do you get off with this rubbish? It's pretty clear you don't believe in God , so what do you think Jesus would say to YOU?

Nor will i be seduced into discussing any other biblical texts on the subject until you can, because this fact alone makes it quite clear and quite evident that NOWHERE is Christ, nor the Holy spirit rendered Almighty god! It is used , for God alone, uniquely and exclusively and rightly so, because nowhere in the entire universe is their anything like him!

BUT NEVER IN A MILLION ZILLION SQUILLION TRILLION YEARS HAS HE EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER BEEN CALLED ALMIGHTY GOD, NEVER!!!!!
you cannot prove it, the game is over, you and the other trinitarians have been checkmated, and the sadness of this is, that from now on, your other assertions will also be treat ...[text shortened]... ow both Jehovah and Jesus could be the First and the Last unless Jesus is Jehovah God incarnate.
Who is like unto thee, O LORD, among the gods? who is like thee, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders? - exodus 15:11
There is none holy as the LORD: for there is none beside thee: neither is there any rock like our God 1 Samuel 2:2
Among the gods there is none like unto thee, O Lord; neither are there any works like unto thy works. psalm 86:8
Who is a God like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? he retaineth not his anger for ever, because he delighteth in mercy. Micah 7:18
That men may know that thou, whose name alone is JEHOVAH, art the most high over all the earth. psalm 83:18
peace to you jaywill, but as far as this doctrine goes, it is history!

Jesus Christ is the Almighty God.
Originally posted by jaywillI noticed in Mathew chapter four, that when Satan addressed Christ, in what has popularly come to be known as the temptation of Christ, how was it that Jesus answered him, time and again 'it is written....'.

1Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil.
2And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungred.
3And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread.
4But he answered and said, IT IS WRITTEN, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
5Then the devil taketh him up into the holy city, and setteth him on a pinnacle of the temple,
6And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for IT IS WRITTEN, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.
7Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.
8Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them;
9And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me.
10Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for IT IS WRITTEN, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.
so jaywill you son of destruction, where is it written!

Jesus Christ is the Almighty God.
Christ seems to think He is the Son of God.
John the Baptist preached that the Son of God was coming.
The angel told Mary ..that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.
All the disciples called Jesus the Son of God.
Paul on countless occasions referred to Christ as the Son of God.
Only Jaywill knows the true identity of Jesus .. Jesus is God and God is Jesus.
And if you dont believe in Jaywill, you are Satan !!
jaywill, jaywill, please don't feel bitter or take it personal, were just making fun, really, lets talk about something else, what about the none existence of hell, or even something in which we can find common ground, the miracles of Christ for example, life is too short for fussing and fighting, really i am sorry if you are upset, sometimes we can go too far, don't be angry!

Why do some religions say Christ turned the water into grape juice ?
Originally posted by Rajk999even my wife who is a christian tries to say this, because as you are aware she comes from a society (pakistan) which on the surface prohibits the use of alcohol, i say on the surface because underneath, its use is rife among Muslims as well as Christians, so first of all its cultural, second i think that the account states that some of the wedding guests were already intoxicated when Christ produced the miracle, and as you know the scriptures do not condemn alcohol, only drunkenness, so maybe this is a reason, and also, in my own country, Scotland many parts are Calvinistic, and as we know he didn't take a wee dram of whiskey himself, so the legacy is that it is thought that to drink is sinful, i dunno, that's just some of the reasons, what you think?

Originally posted by robbie carrobieCertainly culture plays a role but the Bible is clear that wine in moderation is good for you. Its the excess and drunkeness thats the problem. The point is that people try to twist the Bible to suit some preconceived belief and this is not right. I myself can be sometimes guilty of that but It is important if the truth is to be understood we have to put aside our own biases.

1TI 5:23 Drink no longer water, but use a little WINE for thy stomach's sake and thine often infirmities.
Not to worry about Jaywill, he is thickskinned and he will not hold anything against you .. maybe me .. he might 🙂. I have had many discussions with him that ended the same way and we always resumed discussing/arguing again when the dust settled.
What galls me about some of the particular issue that EVERYONE in the Bible is calling Christ the son of God. Who is the smartypants that decided to start a silly doctrine which equates Christ to God. Why is there even a need to change what everyone know to be fact in the time of Christ.
