Yes it has. Science has proved extensive flooding from a long time ago but none of a wwflood which would EASILY be found. Science has proved that there isnt enough water to create a wwflood. Science has proved that it is an impossibility for that many animals to evlove in such a short space of time(the only way all animals could fit onto the ark). Science has proved that fresh water fish cannot survive in salt water. etc.. etc.. etc.. on and on and on!

Reading this thread and several other threads in the spirituality forum, I can't help wondering what ever happened to the beautiful principle that says "I disagree with what you say, but I will defend with my life your right to say it".
Does anyone here seriously give a cuss what anyone else believes about the flood, or any other topic that has been thrown into the ring? Are we setting out to try building the tower of Babel again? It almost reads like a bunch of people all saying "Well I hold this particular opinion, as I am entitled to do, but how dare you have a different view of it?"
I don't suggest that I am immune to this malaise, I tend to jump in as quickly as most folk, and try to ram my opinion down the throats of strangers, but I wonder why we have problems accepting the fact that any person's viewpoint is valid in the eyes of that person.
Do we really need to subject people to trial by insult and innuendo? Is mankind ultimately headed towards abject solipsism?
