Amen. And there are plenty other places where we are told Christ is the life.
This means that Christ can blend with us, indwell us, incorporate with us, live in us and be our life.
From the same chapter - "Yet a little while and the world beholds Me no longer, but you behold Me; because I live, you also shall live." (John 14:19)
thanks

Christ is not the Supersoul within all existing people.
Christ is not within and can be acknowledged,
but if not acknowledged He is within anyway regardless.
Christ can be received or Christ can be rejected.

Hi, Dasa. Does the Hindu word "Paramatman or Param... the Absolute Atman or Supreme Soul or Spirit in the Vedanta
and Yoga philosophies of India." signify the residence of human consciousness, mentality, conscience and volition?

Having said that every soul has their individual consciousness which may be pure or impure.

This story is published in many Christian literatures.
One night a man had a dream. He dreamed
he was walking along the beach with the LORD.
Across the sky flashed scenes from his life.
For each scene he noticed two sets of
footprints in the sand: one belonging
to him, and the other to the LORD.
When the last scene of his life flashed before him,
he looked back at the footprints in the sand.
He noticed that many times along the path of
his life there was only one set of footprints.
He also noticed that it happened at the very
lowest and saddest times in his life.
This really bothered him and he
questioned the LORD about it:
"LORD, you said that once I decided to follow
you, you'd walk with me all the way.
But I have noticed that during the most
troublesome times in my life,
there is only one set of footprints.
I don't understand why when
I needed you most you would leave me."
The LORD replied:
"My son, my precious child,
I love you and I would never leave you.
During your times of trial and suffering,
when you see only one set of footprints,
it was then that I carried you."

Dasa, I ma familiar with that little story. It is about the faithfulness of Jesus Christ through the life of one who has trusted in Him.
But you misunderstand the New Testament if you think this story symbolizes that Jesus Christ is within the one who receives Him and with the one who rejects Him as well.
I asked you had you read The New Testament. There are many nice little parables for comfort. But you should read the New Testament for a clear understanding of the Gospel of Christ.
For example the Gospel of John, in the first chapter includes this in the prologue:
"He [Christ] came to His own, yet those who were His own did not receive Him.
But as many as received Him, to them He gave the authority to become children of God, to those who believe into His name.
Who were begotten not of blood nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God." (John 1:11-13)
DIFFERENCES:
Those who did not receive Him is in contrast to "as many as received Him."
1.) Some received Christ is verses some rejected to receive Christ.
2.) Those who received Him are granted authority to become children of God is in contrast to those who did not receive Him and were not granted this authroity.
3.) Those who received Him "believe into His name" is verses those who did not receive Him and therefore did not "believe into His name" .
4.) Those who "received Him" are granted to become "children of God" is verses those who did not receive Him who are not so granted to become God's children.
5.) Those who "received Him" were begotten (born spiritually of the Father) is verses those who did not receive Him and who are subsequently not so begotten.
You can see a clear dichotomy between those who received Jesus Christ and those who did not.
You can see a clear distinction between those who are begotten of the divine Father and those who are only -
a.) born of blood
b.) born of the will of the flesh
c.) born of the will of man
Being begotten of God to be one of the children of God is VERSES those who have only a natural relationship of some kind with other men.
So the Gospel of John does not portray Jesus Christ as indwelling all people who are born naturally into the world. There comes a time for a man to receive Jesus Christ in order to be "begotten" of God spiritually because of believing "into His name" .
This is a second birth after one is born naturally.

There is no such thing as life separate from God..................just like there is no such thing as a ray of sunshine separate from the sun.
However a ray of sunshine may fall upon stool or it may fall upon a rose and it always remains a ray of sunshine.
If there is life then there is God.
The most evil of persons has the Lord within.
And the grace and mercy of the Lord is, that he is always within us waiting for our surrender to his will.
The Lord is in all places at all times because he is in every atom, and if he is in every atom (omnipresence) then he is surely within our hearts as the Supersoul [paramatma].
