Okay, now explain how God made the earth before He made the sun.

Magic 😞

If you allow 'god did it' as an 'explanation' you can 'explain' anything.

Which is, incidentally, why 'god did it' is utterly useless as an explanation...

Well one of the many reasons why...

Did you see my post about the source of the article, which resides in science?

I can't explain how it happened, I can only tell you what the Holy Bible reports.

Which isn't telling us anything since all of
us have easy access to bible quotations.

The bottom line is you have nothing to say which isn't
readily available in the bible (which most atheists seem
more familiar with than yourself) so do yourself a favour,
save some time for bible study and SHUT UP.

But you apparently don't read it and understand it. That's why you need people like me.

Well, wolfgang59 claims you guys are smart enough to read and understand the Holy Bible and I should SHUT UP. So let's see if that is true. Read it for yourself to get the answer.

Genesis 3 creates the light
Genesis 14 creates the sun

I most certainly do not need people like you!

I don't think anyone does.

This is the problem. By taking every word in the Bible literally, you run into a credibility problem. The rest of the universe existed for some 9 billion years (twice the age of the earth, btw) before the earth was created. Moses, who wrote the first five books, was even probably ahead of his time in his understanding, but still, he was writing not only for posterity, but for his fellow man, for whom the concept of billions of years was most likely a bit too much to grasp.

If you have read anything I write here, you'd see that I happen to agree with you.

"God did it" is more than obvious, but it doesn't explain anything. We need to see *how* He "did it". Science neatly answers this.

There was no need for Moses to explain billions of years when he could have just said it took a long period of time. But instead, he was specific in saying it took only six days by numbering the days and saying that each day consisted of evening and morning just like any normal day.

Except you're missing the fact that we now know how long it took, and lo and behold, it was a long period of time. Pretending it wasn't doesn't make anyone take anything you say very seriously.

Jesus spoke in parables and stories made up to prove his points, punctuated by real life conversations he had with others. What makes you think the OT was any different?
