If our world is just our own specific life, and that is it, we leave off the rest.
[2] Well, in my case, I have never said that the world in which I live is "just" my "own specific life".

A strange response; I thought you called yourself a Christian, change your mind?

Nothing spiteful; you listed many things about faith while claiming to be one.
So if I mention that I'm the nasty one?

You tell me what your "meta-narrative" is and I'll tell you what mine is, if I have one.
The story of everything.

The story of everything.
If you feel there is some kind of a "story of everything" and it works for you, and fits into a slot you have, then that's good. I have a keen interest in history and related disciplines, so I suppose the perspective that gives me fits into a similar slot for me.

On page 1, what did you mean by "the rest" and "much more"? Are you referring to your religious beliefs?

@kellyjay said
The meta-narrative, how do you define it?
You tell me what your "meta-narrative" is.

And I'll tell you what mine is... if I have one.

The activities you talked about had to do with faith, don't lie, dive; it is unbecoming.

My religious beliefs have to do with just me; they are my beliefs. Again, it is not about
people but the whole; why do you have to bring it all back to just people's views?
Everything means just that, the story of everything, not; what does KellyJay think
about everything.

Well, you ARE, after all, asking me about my personal views. Or don't you realize that that's what you are doing?

You are specifically asking me ~ FMF ~ about my "story of everything", so why is it not OK to ask you ~ KellyJay ~ about your "story of everything"?

You said tell me; I'll tell you what the meta-narrative means if you don't realize what
you are talking about, why bother talking? I put something up to be discussed, and
you can engage or not, pick.

Well, you've ruled out your religious views [further up this page]. So, you tell me what your nothing-to-do-with-your-religious-views "meta-narrative" is. And I'll have a go at telling you what mine is, if I have one.
