The meta-narrative, how do you define it?
Well, as I said on page 1, broadly speaking, my purpose in life, and the through-line theme, is to learn, to teach, to love and be loved. Is that a "meta-narrative" to your way of thinking?

If you feel there is some kind of a "story of everything" and it works for you, and fits into a slot you have, then that's good. I have a keen interest in history and related disciplines, so I suppose the perspective that gives me fits into a similar slot for me.
Why have you blanked this post out, KellyJay?

When I said everything I was not limiting it to my life’s purpose. We can have head knowledge about anything and everything and some of that seeps into our hearts so that we believe in our hearts what we accept as true even if we can’t prove it. This is not dissimilar to our discussion on religious faith on some level, where one can intellectually accept God but our hearts are far from Him. The big picture is just that from beginning to end and everything in it is the meta-narrative.

Do you share what you think is true?

You tell me what your "meta-narrative" is, then, and I'll see if I can tell you what mine is.

Okay. Give me time to think about how to express it.

You have a difficult time with context.

I'd take your beliefs over @divegeester's behavior, any day of the week.

God created everything through the living Word, the Son of God, Jesus Christ.
When it was created, everything living was told to reproduce and multiply, so all of
life was pointing towards life; there was no death or decay. Until the fall, which
brought death, all life had a death sentence; decay was introduced into
the universe.

What that looked like is impossible to know, was the 2nd law of thermodynamics
started at that point and affected the universe? That is a very high-level introduction
to the beginning.

I don't subscribe to a "meta-narrative" that resembles this or corresponds to it, but what you describe certainly makes for an interesting narrative, and it is one that countless billions of people have perceived as being true.

What does yours look like?

I don't have one that corresponds to yours or that's comparable to it. I just have my interests in history anthropology, language and similar things.
