Paul's value?

Paul's value?

You could just wait for FMF to chide divegeester for playing the man instead of the ball like he has with so many others.

Oh wait. That doesn't happen.
Here's the ball. "Who is Jesus to you?"

You gonna play it,.....or the man?

In a thread differentiating between Paul and Jesus, ToO can't even bring himself to say who Jesus actually was.

Instead, he will throw some accusations around about trolling and proceed to hypocritically play the man rather than the ball.

In this thread I have no beef with FMF because he presented some valid points on the subject.

Dive, however, showed terrible forum etiqutte by ignoring every post by FMF, yet deciding to confront me on my replies to FMF. Showing such favoritism is bad for debating.
Looks like all three trolls have now entered this thread.

Yes he did. However you know as well as I do that if were anyone other than divegeester (or GoaD) FMF would chide them for playing the man instead of the ball like he has with so many others.

Of course neither divegeester nor GoaD have anything of substance to say about the topic of this thread. Rather they play the man instead of the ball.

divegeester is a troll. What do you expect?

Of course neit ...[text shortened]... MF. Showing such favoritism is bad for debating.[/b]

As predicted, you play the man (men) and not the ball demonstrating your hypocritical cowardice.

Pitiful.

This is a PUBLIC forum.
I don't care if you and FMF talk endlessly on the phone about spiritual matters because it means nothing here!!!!

What I do care about is your unwillingness to publicly challenge FMF when he publicly says something opposing your beliefs, because you challenge everyone else.

Publicly....is the key word.

Stop talking about your personal, secret discussions with him.....it's meaningless here.

The "ball" on this thread is "Paul's value?". I've been playing the "ball" in every post other than pointing out the trolls who have once again derailed another thread. No doubt it has played no small part in this forum having become moribund.

GoaD of course has stooped to his typical use of deceit with his trolling.

Has what I revealed about my personal beliefs with regard to Paul affected your personal beliefs with regard to Paul?

In Romans, we are instructed by Paul to confess with our mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in Him, as our way to salvation.

With all the debates about works, what value do we give Paul?

If we are only to follow the words of Jesus, is the remainder of the NT void? Because it would seem pretty clear, to Paul, that belief in Jesus comes "first", then works would follow....based on the renewal of the mind.
St. Paul consolidated our views as Christians and was divinely inspired by God in his writings.

The Gospels are further explained by St. Paul and other important Saints, like St. Peter.

The Church Fathers inherit this tradition, and the Saints live by this tradition, providing for us great writings that explain the Bible and provide us with proper understanding of Christianity and our times, and how they relate.

If one were to dismiss St. Paul and those who wrote the Bible, one starts a chain reaction, and who knows what you end up with at the end! You then just pick and choose what you believe about Christianity, and you are now putting yourself above people whom God appeared to personally, as if you are some special authority.

What happened to me is one of the things one can "end up with", of course. Have you not read the thread?

I think, if you believe God or Jesus personally appeared to Paul, and if you believe God or Jesus personally appeared to whoever wrote Revelation, then that's fine.
