whether there is more or less is irrelevant, millions of persons are addicts, it breaks up families and causes no end of pain but if you search for alcohol addiction you will likely meet similar statistics, although admittedly its difficult to get the source.
Yeah, alcohol is awful.

It's only irrelevant because you've been proven wrong and, as usual, you are unable to acknowledge this simple fact.

oh dear the same seriously flawed jive talk, guns don't kill people, people kill people. Alcohol doesn't make alcoholics, people make themselves alcoholics, pornography doesn't make addiction, people make themselves addicted.

ermmm I thought you would have enough of failing, clearly not.

It entirely irrelevant, a small percentage of a large number is not consequential? if one percent goes up on the bank of England base interest rate you think its inconsequential if you have a fifty ziliion motgage? that's what your reasoning amounts to. Clearly a small percentage is entirely relevant and your insistence that its not is fatally flawed, boohoo.com for you! dresses, get your flowery dresses!

So you agree then that alcohol is a more serious problem than porn?

whether its more or less serious is neither here nor there, you want degrees of seriousness, like,

1. instant death
2. ultimately destructive,
3. toxic,
4. harmful
5. bad for your health?

What on earth are you talking you strange odd ball of a man? I've made no claim about anything being consequential or inconsequential.

I asked if you now accepted that there are considerably more people who use porn free from harm than those who become addicted?

and i have told you that even if it is true and it is true that it does not mean that the small percentage is of no consequence you fruitbat.

I don't know man, you consider porn to be a bad thing, you yakker on about people being addicted to porn, clearly people are addicted to alcohol, you tell why it's bad.

Don't expect anyone but yourself to understand your logic, let alone explain it.

My own objection to pornography is religious, its anti Biblical, but you people do not accept these religious principles and ideas so i am forced to attempt to use something else that you may accept, statistics, logic, reasoning.

Clearly alcohol in moderation is not a bad thing, but for some people it is. Now if you wish to extend the analogy, clearly for most people pornography causes little problems, but for a percentage of the vast people who use it, it causes serious problems. Why this should be difficult to understand i cannot say.

You just enjoy digging these holes for yourself, don't you? Some kind of weird sado-masochistic pleasure you derive from it, it seems.

So in the end it appears you're against porn based on the bible but you're too chicken to stand by your principles so you hide behind some farfetched possibly bad thing about watching porn that you thought up, but clearly didn't have the intellectual capacity to actually back it up logically.

And now you have to admit that watching porn in moderation - like drinking alcohol in moderation - is not a bad thing.

Which I already stated many, many pages ago.

I'm not disputing the small percentage is of no consequence and never have done, why you are introducing this into the conversation I have no idea.

This guy (RC) is clearly an idiot, I don't know why anybody tries to get sense out of him or pin him down on anything he said.

But I have figured one thing out: Remember Shakespeare's words "Me thinks the lady does protest too much".

People obsessed with an addiction are the greatest crusaders against that addiction.

RC is a porn addict, and wants to soothe his conscience by being vociferously anti-porn. Well, it doesn't work, and he's been uncovered.

too chicken? can you tell me logically, rationally and reasonably, what is the point of advocating Biblical principles to people that do not value them? That is correct, there is no point, therefore your accusation of being chicken is unfounded.

and no watching pornography in moderation is not a good thing because it might be allegedly harmless for some people, but not all of them and can and does cause serious problems.

Thank you Jesus, your kind words of encouragement are sincerely edifying.

and seeing that you have failed to grasp what a logical fallacy is, i repeat this for your continuing education,

ad hominem
adj.
Appealing to personal considerations rather than to logic or reason:

Debaters should avoid ad hominem arguments that question their opponents' motives.
