I know it does.
Consider the state of affairs about 10-15 years ago, before anybody was publicly ridiculing the Church for these horrors. It was only due to the recent public exposure and shaming that the Church decided it was best to start changing the way they had been handling the situation, which simply took the form of shuffling molesters to new parishes of unsuspecting victims, while paying off the old ones to keep their mouths shut.
from the Bible it says that as Christians we should be like a lamp on the table for the whole world to see. THIS is the reason WHY improvements were made, because they were forced to do what Jesus commanded them to do in the first place.
That is a very, very naive belief.
The Bible was the same 30 years ago as it is today. So, how do you account for the sudden improvements?

But that is exactly what Christianity calls us to do. To forgive others and love our enemy.

Ridiculing does not help anyone. I agree that society needs to be apprised of the "horrors" that some priests have committed, but lampooning an entire organisation, that is devoted to helping others, is only destroying communities.

You keep going on about this "Cardinal Law's case" as if Cardinal Law's decisions are indicative of the entire Church. Perhaps it will surprise you that often bishops effectively deal with molestation cases.

Conrau K: " ..... but lampooning an entire organisation, that is devoted to helping others, is only destroying communities."
.... but that is exactly Dr.Scribbles's agenda ..... isn't that right, Good Doctor ? What Doctor S. is doing has nothing to do with sympathy for or compassion with the victims or trying to help the victims. It has everything to do with bashing the Roman-Catholic Church, the Good Doctor's arch enemy ..... Right, Good Doctor ?

Do you support the Catholic Church's behaviour in regards to child abuse?
