How terrible. Many here say things have not gotten worse but man has gone beyond God in our wonderful and highly educated ways we now enjoy. Right!!!!!!!

But god isn't going to 'step in' and fix them (or rapture and kill everyone so it wont matter)
because gods don't exist.
Now it is undeniably true that both lifespans and quality of life have dramatically improved
over the centuries (in the west and other first world countries) and it is also true that there
are a number of impending man made disasters that may well threaten that if not dealt with
to go along with the ever present danger of natural disasters.
However thinking that god will at some point come down and fix things for us is an absurd and
dangerous belief.
We need to deal with these problems, and from an engineering standpoint we know how, the problem
is political and economic and summoning up the will to fix these problems.
If you think it doesn't matter because god will either fix it for us or wipe out the earth in an armageddon
soon anyway then you have no motive or reason to knuckle down and do what is needed to fix the
problems ourselves.
There are no gods, there is just us.
We have to fix these problems and sitting on your a**e wailing about god and the apocalypse gets
nothing done.

As long as there is money and greed it will only continue down this bottomless pit of what we've created.

Do you think it will happen in our lifetimes? Or will it be like every other prediction Christians
have made about the end of the world in the last 2 THOUSAND years ALL of which turned
out to be wrong?
Have you guys ever heard the story about the boy who cried wolf?
(I know it's not an exact analogy because at the end the wolf did actually turn up)
Because you (and here I mean all theists, but Christians particularly) have precisely zero credibility
predicting the end of the world because you not only have no viable mechanism for this apocalypse.
Or way of determining when it is going to happen even if you did. But you also have been making
end of the world predictions for [I'll say this again] 2 THOUSAND years and were wrong every time.
So why should anyone, theist or not, Christian or not, believe that THIS TIME you have it right?
Particularly when all you have is "some day..."
And given that total and utter lack of credibility on the subject would you mind keeping it to yourselves
its really boring having you wrongly predict the end of the world every five minutes.

I've heard said that if one medium sized country in Africa was used by the support of the worlds countries to grow food and if all greed of humans and the power lords were kept out, that one country could feed the entire continent. But why doesn't that happen?
MAN will not allow it.
Jeremiah 10:23
New Life Version (NLV)
Jeremiah’s Prayer
23 O Lord, I know that a man’s way is not known by himself. It is not in man to lead his own steps

In any case, what Biblical support is there for God stepping in to 'save' the planet from ecological disaster. Although I disagree there is an such disaster looming over the planet.

If these other "head in the sand" guys would just do the simple research on these and a few other things, they may think differently.
