I don't think we disagree.
What I wondered was whether humy's line of thinking was 'logically fallacial' (if there is such a phrase) from the perspective of what tim88 wrote, rather than what you presumed he meant. humys post obviously did not contain any logical fallacies.
I then set out how someone might construe this line of reasoning as bein ...[text shortened]... It makes God look as if he views human life as if we were characters in a Dan Brown novel.
However I like to also point out that even if you do assume that the vague passages in the
bible do mean what they claim it means it still doesn't constitute science or demonstrate
that the bible was divinely inspired.
Because otherwise you land up in an endless debate over whether the verses are clear or not.
I Like to make it clear from the get go that it doesn't matter the argument still doesn't hold.

However that is not a response to my post that makes any kind of sense.
You made points/arguments.
I refuted them.
Do you have any counter response?

i dont know why but i always imagine rj as a large bespectacled american stood in his brown office wearing a brown 1970's suit smoking a cigar and drinking bourbon while he speaks his post out loud to his pale nervous also bespectacled secretary (who is also from the 1970's) who then types it onto the web via her really old chunky first gen desk-top gre ...[text shortened]...

Given the length of the post I am responding to this may land up being a multi post. And might require some post posting editing.
Please bear with me while I do this.
First up lets look at the premise of this post...
Well there is none explicitly made, the title simply states "scientific facts in the bible" and then the post simply lists a series rying to achieve.
Continued next post.
It was written to provide guidance and special revelation to manknind. But
on matters of science, it has always been proven right in the end when skeptics
have thought it said something it did not say. For example, the skeptic you
gave the link to is all wrong on his understanding of what the Holy Bible says.
The statement "seeing something from the ends of the earth" means as far as one
can see from all directions. It has nothing to do with seeing something from
the other side of the globe. It is similar to saying "the sun rises in the
east and sets in the west." We all say that, even scientists.
If you can show any verse that is speaking about science and has been proven
wrong, then we can discuss that. The only thing that I know of that does not
agree with some of your scientist of today, is creation of the universe and
living things by God. But all the scientists have today is speculation by
theories, such as abigenesis and evolution, which have not been proven. So
until that time you can stop your ignorant posts about it. HalleluYah !!!

However there are a lot of stories of magic in the bible that are flatly contradicted and
refuted by science.
The fact that you have trouble thinking what they might be simply demonstrates how
poor your knowledge of science is.

things your scientist have no idea how to dublicate. Your scientists
are stupid men who do not give glory to the One that knows what
they don't. They try to exalt themselves by claiming how much
they know, but in reality, in God's sight they are but fools. 😏
