This thread is dedicated to the upcoming sermon competition. The three judges selected are FMF, karoly aczel, and yo its me. The three of you can now commence the discussion to decide what the topic shall be and will be given until 9/11 as a deadline to decide. Then another thread will be created for the sermons to be delivered. If one of the judges does not respond, then we will proceed without them.
*Anti-violence (perhaps you guys got a better term for it)
*The practical benefits of theism/christianity (whatever you think is best)
*Wisdom
*"right" Meditation
..this is just to kick off, if you guys dont like these I'll come up with some more.
I'm really not sure what flavour to give these sermon topics but I guess there should be some theist topics (?)
Originally posted by FMF So you think that by making a suggestion, as requested, I was trying to sidestep you and yo it's me?
Not at all. I like your suggestion,I like it a lot in a way but I just wanted to know how long we should wait on yo it's me or what? (I'd llike yo it's me's opinion before continuing)
" - 'I fed the poor, they called me a saint; I asked why they were poor, they called me a Communist.' - At what cost does religion involve itself and disassociate itself from politics?"
Originally posted by FMF It's an absolutely meat and veg, day to day, on the ground, religious and/or spiritual issue for ordinary folk in certain countries. Too complex?
I was asking you wether you though it was too complex for the sermon givers.I guess you dont.
I think it's fine
