Our morailty evolves from human understanding of the universe , ie ...slavery is endorsed in the bible and perfectly acceptable 2000 yrs ago .It is only through education and knowledge that we know now just how wicked it really is.

"The God of the Old Testament is arguably the most unpleasant character in all fiction: jealous and proud of it; a petty, unjust, unforgiving control-freak; a vindictive, bloodthirsty ethnic cleanser; a misogynistic, homophobic, racist, infanticidal, genocidal, filicidal, pestilential, megalomaniacal, sadomasochistic, capriciously malevolent bully."

Genesis (9:20-27)20 Noah, a man of the soil, proceeded to plant a vineyard. 21 When he drank some of its wine, he became drunk and lay uncovered inside his tent. 22 Ham, the father of Canaan, saw his father naked and told his two brothers outside. 23 But Shem and Japheth took a garment and laid it across their shoulders; then they walked in backward and covered their father’s naked body. Their faces were turned the other way so that they would not see their father naked.
24 When Noah awoke from his wine and found out what his youngest son had done to him,

25 he said, “Cursed be Canaan!
    The lowest of slaves
will he be to his brothers.”

    26 He also said,

“Praise be to the LORD, the God of Shem!
May Canaan be the slave of Shem.
    27 May God extend Japheth’s territory;
may Japheth live in the tents of Shem,
and may Canaan be the slave of Japheth.”

When a man strikes his male or female slave with a rod so hard that the slave dies under his hand, he shall be punished. If, however, the slave survives for a day or two, he is not to be punished, since the slave is his own property. (Exodus 21:20-21 NAB)

When a man sells his daughter as a slave, she will not be freed at the end of six years as the men are. If she does not please the man who bought her, he may allow her to be bought back again. But he is not allowed to sell her to foreigners, since he is the one who broke the contract with her. And if the slave girl's owner arranges for her to marry his son, he may no longer treat her as a slave girl, but he must treat her as his daughter. If he himself marries her and then takes another wife, he may not reduce her food or clothing or fail to sleep with her as his wife. If he fails in any of these three ways, she may leave as a free woman without making any payment. (Exodus 21:7-11 NLT)

    please explain ?

Clearly women were not just discriminated against, but truly driven into the turf.
My theory is that the male-centric society wanted to stamp out any affiliation with women being good in any way, other than as servants/child bearers for men, and hence made up a bunch of dodgy laws and put them in the bible so that they could keep their supposed intellectual superiority.

If anyone thinks the bible does not have truly despicable, faulty,( and yes Vishva), dishonest so -called rules / guidelines😛 contained therein for the maintanence of our current status quo, is deluded.

Funny how you twist being suppressed and beaten to being provided with food and a place to live.

    I would rather be homeless.

You mistake God as being "OK" with certain behavior soley based upon punitive action taken against those individuals. For example, when the Ten Commandments were first given there were no punitive acts to enforce them at first. Why? Was it because God was OK with them breaking them? Clearly not since punitive action was later taken. You can't convince me that slavery was OK with the Almighty, rather, it was allowed due to men's current state of affairs. It is akin to Christ saying that divorce was not a good thing in the site of the Almighty, however, because of the hardness of their hearts it was allowed. The woman caught in idolatry is another example, Christ showed her mercy when she clearly had punitive action coming to her for what she had done to her husband. Their is an underlying mercy attached to the state of men's hearts in the eyes of God.
