Well hang on there sister, you missed out quite an important part after, ' This is the first and great commandment,' .....and it goes:

'And the second is like unto it.'

In other words, the 2nd is the same as the 1st. It is not inferior to it as you suggest.
It is my view that the reason why Jesus placed them on par is because they are in fact the same thing. Love of God has to be demonstrated, and there is only one way to do it, that is love your neighbour as yourself.

Therefore love for your neighbour is equivalent to love for God.

They are one and the same. This principle is stated is other places as well. How can you profess to love God if you dont not show love for your neighbour? It is not possible. It is a nonsensical, worthless profession of faith ie mouth worship according to Christ and these people will be condemned.

If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen? And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.
(1 John 4:20-21 KJV)

Again in Matt 25, Jesus says that those who show love for the poor and needy is equivalant to showing love for Him, and they will enter the Kingdom of God. Those who dont show love for the poor and needy do not love God and will be cast out.

Love is good works.
Love is the only way to the Kingdom of God.

Indeed. This was the reason behind my asking Suzianne what the first commandment entails.

John 14
15“If you love me, keep my commands.
21Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me. The one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love them and show myself to them.”
23Jesus replied, “Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them. 24Anyone who does not love me will not obey my teaching. These words you hear are not my own; they belong to the Father who sent me.

The following also drives home the point::.
Matthew 7
12“In everything, therefore, treat people the same way you want them to treat you, for this is the Law and the Prophets.

Here Jesus has distilled the two greatest commandments down to one. "The Golden Rule" describes the same concept as the second commandment. Here He says that "The Golden Rule" IS the law and the prophets.

None of the ;saved by faith' Christians will address that point. No surprise there.

The demons believe that Jesus existed.
They know that he was raised from the dead
They know the value of good works and righteousness as this is the key requirement for entry into the Kingdom of God.
They therefore would not encourage anyone to do good works becuase their aim is to frustrate Gods plan to bring in righteousness people into his Kingdom.

Kinda sounds like you 😀

I’ve never not encouraged someone to do good works. That’s just you bearing false witness against me and trolling again. That’s how people behave when they don’t have the love of Christ in them but are relying on themselves to make them righteous, instead of relying on Jesus Christ.

Good works naturally flow from someone after they’ve obtained salvation and God’s Holy Spirit by accepting Christ in their heart. I’ve said that dozens of times in this forum. Your continuing to misrepresent me is just a sign that you don’t know Christ and are not following His commands.

Sad!

And I have said a dozen time that you are mistaken.

Good works DOES NOT NATURALLY FLOW WHEN SOMEONE HAS THE HOLY SPIRIT.

That is not supported in the Bible. That is just church nonsense.

Annianas and Sapphira is a good example.

Agreed. It is a mistake to separate the two or hold one superior to the other.

Your obsession with Annanias and Sapphira is puzzling since their example does not at all prove your point.

First, they sinned shortly after receiving the Holy Spirit, which is entirely consistent with Paul’s view that as long as we live in the flesh, there will be a struggle between the Spirit and the flesh.

“This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.

For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.“

(Galatians 5:16-17)

Second, they obviously had very limited time and opportunities to do good works since God struck them down so quickly for lying to the Holy Spirit.

Third, writing in all caps (i.e. shouting) doesn’t make your argument convincing.)

Actually I would say that the demonstration of the love for God ie love for fellow man is superior to proclaiming your love for God.

The first implies the second.
The second is meaningless without the first

Worth noting, even when you write in lower case, your argument isn't convincing.

Stop arguing that point. You have lost ... tuck your tail and hide 😀

I see you’ve abandoned substance for trolling. Good timing ‘cause I gotta head out anyway.
