Smoking is bad for your health and being obese is bad for your health. Work on that whilst I go to the gym.

You contend that your "guidelines" apply to smoking cigarettes; what about the coal mine ~ sewage ~ cooking ~ motorcycle examples I gave? How do the "guidelines" that apply to smoking cigarettes apply to them to your way of thinking?
Ok let me say it this way as I have to get to work.

God tells us many way to honor the gift of life. We are not to take it away from anyone including our own.
This is where knowing the basic laws in the bible and noticing all the principles that go with those laws, have to be taken into consideration first when deciding what to do when confronted with something like working in a coal mine which we all know is dangerous.

This scripture came to mind,

Proverbs 22:3Good News Translation (GNT)

3 Sensible people will see trouble coming and avoid it, but an unthinking person will walk right into it and regret it later.

No you will not find a scripture that speaks of a coal mine but with most informed people knowing the dangers of working there and the chances of you suffering one way or the other if ones does, perhaps one should consider a safer place to work and that would be showing respect for the life God gave them.
I'll do more research later when I'm off work.

The Bible does not speak of cigarettes either. The issue here is "defilement" and what is and is not "forbidden", in your opinion, by scripture. So, you say people avoiding or refusing to be coal miners "would be [perhaps] showing respect for the life God gave them". I hear what you say. But if it "defiles" the body, is the not-mentioned coal mining "forbidden in scripture" in the same way as the not-mentioned cigarette smoking is "forbidden in scripture", to your way of thinking?

That's about what I expected from you, robbie.. false claims and childish prattle. You can't give what you don't have.

Good for you. Now maybe try and answer my question.

Smoking is bad for your health and being obese is bad for your health. Agree or disagree?

Going to the gym means nothing, it's what you do in the gym that counts. I've seen plenty of people in the gym training with the intensity of a dry sifty fart. That gets you nowhere.

we have a sign on our gym wall, doing the same thing over and over again with the same results is insane, i think its attributable to Einstein. I am doing rather excellently, consistency is the key.

It's doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results that defines insanity.
In your case, little robbie, insanity is the only result possible.. and, yes, consistency is the key.
