call it what you like, i think it would be more accurate to say that whatever causes obesity may be a defilement of the flesh. For example smoking causes all kinds of diseases and is therefore a defilement of the flesh, lack of exercise, bad diet etc causes obesity and may therefore by extension be considered defiling.

oh dear Randolf, treadmill is just one of the exercises, tomorrow i go for a session with a trainer and we gonna work out a routine that's gonna be awesome, from free weights, to cross trainers to everything and i am not that overweight, lose ten Kgs and ill be fighting fit. Last time i went to gym i ended up losing twenty Kgs, but that was two years ago and anyway there are lots of real fatties at the gym, no one thinks anything of it, in fact we are pleased because they are there to do something about it and should be welcomed and encouraged.

Okay, so obesity is the result of 'defiling the flesh' (in over 99% of cases).
