Yes, it is a shame your life does not reflect grace and mercy, instead
condemnation and insults.

Grace and mercy means following the rubbish those like you, sonship, Suzanne, grandbobby, and others post ? Really?

Go read what Christ said to the Pharisees. It applies you you because you don't believe in the doctrine of Christ.

So do you still sin, or is that all behind you?
If you do sin, do you go to God for forgiveness, or is that all behind you?
Grace and Mercy means you forgive as you are forgiven, it means that you
give God credit for things you cannot do for yourself, which is getting right
with God through Jesus Christ.

You are in a conversation, you do not get to dictate to me what I say as you
respond to me. Please, I will ask again tell me about the hope you have!
Tell me what you do when you sin! Share with us, or is it something that
you've grown past in your service to God that you no longer sin? What is
the hope you have, or do you not have a hope, instead you have received
already the salvation of God? How do you deal with sin?

Seriously, Jesus Christ is your Lord and you refuse to speak of the hope
that is within you? You ashamed of Him? Why would a Christian ever
refuse to speak of Christ? I can get why one who didn't care about the
glory of God refuse to speak about God, but not one who claims to be
a Christian. How sad, how very sad.

Its sad that you lack the ability to carry on a conversation without getting personal.

In the 'apocrypha' books, the seven books of the bible removed by the protestants. It explains God's final grace, and a washing or cleansing of any sin prior to entering eternity with God.

It explains that sin separates us from God.

I don't believe sharing about the hope that is within you something that
you'd want to avoid doing. You wish to hide that truth from others?

I know sins separates us from God, please share with us what brings us
and God together. How does that work? How can one be saved, and if one
sins after one asks Jesus into their lives does that mean they lost the one
chance of living a perfect life and now they are damned forever? How does
this work? Please share, since you seem to think I don't understand it,
please share I need to know!

Look who is talking about truth. FMF spent over a dozen pages of this thread trying to get you to answer a simple question and you refused to answer clearly. Instead you waffled around and without giving a clear answer.

He askid : How are Christians punished for their sins?

Your answer was basically, that Christ died for my sins so I would not be punished for my sins. Christ was punished instead. Plus you said that you will be forgiven for all your sins including future sins. In other words your sins are not punishable. If that is not a licence to sin and continue sinning I dont know what is.

Here is what the Bible says about a converted Christian who continues to sin.

1. ... if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him. (Hebrews 10:38 KJV)

2. For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning. For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them. (2 Pet 2:20-21)

3. Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. (Matthew 7:21-23 KJV)

4. For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, (Hebrews 10:26 KJV)

5. For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame. (Hebrews 6:4-6 KJV)

The Bible has the truth KJ .. unfortunately your doctrine is far from it.

Why are you being sarcastic? It is simple what brings us together. It is love. What brings a child and dad together, the same. The dad's love is forever, unending. The dad's forgiveness is always there. Yet when the child acts out, the child still needs to seek forgiveness. Every time. It is written "How often should I forgive a brother who sins against me? Seven times? No! Jesus replied. Seventy times seven." If it only takes one time to forgive all our sins, why then would God tell us to always forgive?
It is the same for God, we need to be forgiven.
Why would Paul make the statement, "I have run the race" . If Paul had been forgiven for everything right off the bat. And could have sinned without fear of reproach by God. Why then would he state, "I have persevered" . Because how hard would it be to have no worries about sinning, if anything you did would not hurt your chance of gaining paradise.

Many months ago, I did a thread on Five Kinds of Forgiveness in the New Testament. I think that may have been the title. This was probably either last year or the year before.

For those perplexed about how God deals with the sins of a Christian after being eternally redeemed, you may find some help in finding that thread and reading it.

Others may be helped by reading a more recent thread on "The Judgment Seat of Christ".
