You can live an enemy you kill if that stops your enemy from killing others.
Do you think Jesus was unloving when he asked God to save him from his death on the cross?

I am not asking you about whether you personally want to kill John McCain, nor am I asking you how it is you think he is "killing others". I am asking you, as a Christian, if you love him.
If Jesus never existed, then the words in the Bible claiming that Jesus said them is a lie.
How are you missing this!!!???
Because the words attributed to Jesus can be true whether or not Jesus existed. The words and the concepts behind the words are what are of importance.

It boggles the mind.
What boggles the mind is how you can understand the concept when it comes to the words attributed to Einstein, but seemingly can't when it comes to the words attributed to Jesus.

Einstein existed. The words attributed to Einstein are true.
You are claiming that it doesn't matter if Jesus existed, and I am now 'telling' you that you are wrong!!!
