What I do know is that at the very pinnacle of his abusiveness - just before he apologized to the whole forum, for the second time - you told him, "You rock, vishvahetu!" I think people have been copping abuse from him in some small part because your "don't want to take sides" encouragement has emboldened him.

If I find out that someone is a serial murderer or some such, obviously I will not continue to try to get along with that person, but generally speaking, I say "G'day" to nearly everyone I pass on most days and I do honestly try to get along with everyone.
Also , I try to tell the truth, and often, and this is where the trouble can start.
I think my "support" of Dasa has been overblown. Especially if you contrast my "support" of him with my "support" of other posters and also the other criticisms I have levelled at Dasa.
I believe one line of "support" I wrote for Dasa has been repasted a few times already. Talk about a beat up. Pffft 😛

you can't teach him. you can't reason with him. he is offensive to anyone on this forum, both atheists and theists. he is offensive to parents who would mourn the loss of their children or wouldn't see their kids malnourished so they feed them meat. he constantly claims his book is better than my book even if they are both equally unproven and even if one should offer a modicum of respect when dealing with people of other faith and cultures, even ones you don't agree with.

like karoly said, i always try to get along with anyone i meet. when it becomes clear one cannot be reasoned with, i let my temper get the better of me and i use more and more derisive tones. which is not nice. i try to stop somewhere in the region between polite conversation and calling the other one names (i would say i am at about 1/3 of the distance away from polite and civilized talk with most people i don't agree with) . sometimes dudes like the robbie bring out the worst in me and i drift towards the unpolite point, still trying to stop in time.
dasa/vishva or whatshisname is a special case. he passed a long time ago the attitude most other fundies have. he is utterly convinced that not only is he right in everything he says, the other people not agreeing with him are utterly wrong. he is convinced his book is better than my book even if both have not one shred of proof either way. he dismisses anything contradicting him. he doesn't debate and is damn proud of it. he posts long walls of texts, then when someone calls him on his flaws of logic, he calls them dishonest or stupid or whatever

yes, i have chosen to openly mock him and post nonsense for as long as people still continue to pay attention to him. maybe immature, but so long as i don't exaggerate, i can live with it.

aside from dasa, i only have pointed out to 1 person how he and twhite have posted the same opinion only that persone didn't get it. if it's worthless or not, or if your posts are more worthy of attention (who's attention) it is a matter of opinion and sure, you're entitled to it.

in a more or less degree, that is basically what debates are, you state that the point you are argueing against has less merit than your own. good debates include reasons why that is. you offered none why my posts are worthless. i am guessing you don't want to debate. if you do, feel free to take one of my posts you think it's worthless and tell me why, also giving me a chance to proper defend against your claims.
see? i managed to maintain a civil note with you(even if i don't like you) because it is the start of an argument, i know you for having a history of non-stupid debating and for several other reasons that don't apply to dasa. in the case of dasa, i fail to see the reason to be civil with him.
