Then the pope is not christian.

Look how much gold and jewels he has around him. If half of it were sold and given to the poor, half of the worlds starvation would be gone.

The welth of the Vatican shows that they are not willing to follow the word of Jesus.

There is only one real definition, it isn't mine either.

But as soon as you offer that definition, there will be others, who also claim to be Christian, who will dispute it. And they will likely also say that their definition (or criteria) doesn’t originate with them. You have seen that on here, over the years, as well as I have. This has also been true down the ages.

(By the way, I said some pretty ugly things to you some months ago when I was last here. I regret them. They were wrong. Just so you know.)

No--he told ONE young ruler to sell all his belongings and give the $ to the poor.

So now we need to figure out what a "real definition" is as opposed to all those "false" or "imaginary" definitions out there.
Would you care to give us the real definition of the phrase "real definition"?

Good luck, what with all the flip-flopping about what "murder" might be. 😛

🙂 Don't worry about the ugly things; I say them too to you and others,
and regret them as well! I wish that was one area of my life I had the
self control I demand in others. LOL

With respect to Christians Jesus' is the only one that matters, if you
do not have a right relationship with God through Him I don't care
what denomination or non-denomination you are a part of you do not
know Him and will be found in your sins on the day of judgment.

Scripture tells us that very few will be saved, so the vast majority of
sinners will not be, the only thing that stands between all of us and
our own sins is Jesus Christ. If you do not have a right relationship with
God in Christ you will die in your sins, I don't care what church you go
to, or if you cast out devils, or any number of other things.

No atheists will die in sin, only christians will, because the sin is a christian phenomenon.
Only christians fear the dooms day. Atheists has nothing to fear.

And how is that relevant? Are you only a 'real Christian' if you are to be saved? If so, why is that the 'real definition'?

I don't remember much flip-flopping. I do remember several people having different definitions of the word trying to tell each other that theirs was the one true definition - a practice that really achieves nothing - and further making the grave error of thinking that the definition then generated facts about subjects that fit the definition.

Real Christians are those that are right with God in Christ, I cannot
give you a check list to look at.

    Jesus taught differently.

If you call Him "Lord", Jesus would ask you "Why?"

Not true. We all have a sense of right and wrong and Christ nailed it on the head when he said that you should do unto others as you would have them do unto you. No one can deny this law although we have all violated it from time to time.

Fine by me, go to Jesus show him your good works and tell Him it
    is enough.
